Thoughts?
I appreciate that the ‘cull’ part of Culla could be unappealing for obvious reasons, also it’s similarity phonetically to the word colour, almost like a misspelling.

It’s the first time I’ve heard Culla, but I’m not instantly liking it, I’m afraid. As you say, there’s the ‘cull’ association and Culla is a bit like culler - ‘one who culls’ - on first hearing it with no other name context. Where do you know it from?
[name_f]Lenna[/name_f] is really nice. It’s got an international feel with lots of sounds I and a conciseness that like.
I have to agree on Culla, I don’t see the appeal + I could imagine there being pronunciation issues. I think [name_f]Kala[/name_f] is a nicer option! It sounds very similar but has a broader appeal.
[name_f]Lenna[/name_f] is lovely! I prefer the more streamlined and classic-looking [name_f]Lena[/name_f] spelling, but either way it’s a really sweet, timeless, international choice.
Personally I’m not into Culla, it’s a little too ‘cull’ for me like you mentioned. I do feel like it could be cool for a fantasy character? It has a slightly ancient [name_m]Roman[/name_m] feeling to me for some reason. Maybe [name_f]Scylla[/name_f], [name_f]Calla[/name_f], or [name_f]Cinda[/name_f] would appeal to you?
[name_f]Lenna[/name_f] is sweet and sunny! I like that it’s unique but feels familiar, and feels international and like it would fit any age.
Yeah I know what you mean re the ancient thing. I like [name_f]Cybela[/name_f] which kind of has a similar vibe
I’m not sure where I heard it tbh! I defs heard somewhere… didn’t make it up.
It’s listed with various sites as a lastname with respective Scottish (Cullagh) and Italian origins. According to forebears.net, there are 129 people in Indonesia with Culla as a first name (or maybe this includes middles, I’m not sure how they collect their data). It’s rare, but out there! You’ve got your [name_f]Berry[/name_f] ear tuned in well!
I like [name_f]Lenna[/name_f] - there’s something rugged but gentle about it, earthy but sophisticated, international with a fairly obvious pronunciation.
Culla, I’m not so sure on. I’ll have to think on it more - do you know much about it?
I like them both! When I hear Culla I think of “color” before “cull.” And I think they’re real pretty together.
[name_m]Ah[/name_m] that’s interesting. Thanks for the info
I didn’t - but @EdgeOfTheMeadow has filled in some blanks there
Culla sounds pretty but I’m not sure on the spelling. (It does remind me of an invented name I found on a website though)
[name_f]Lenna[/name_f] is similar to how I want to pronounce [name_f]Leona[/name_f], like [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] without the rd (uhd).
Culla reminds of the word colour, because I have an accent so color in my region is pronounced as cul-luh, dropping the r. [name_f]Lenna[/name_f] sounds a version of [name_f]Leona[/name_f], but other wise it’s pretty. gives me a image of peonies for some reason lol.
Sorry I also don’t see the appeal in Culla. What about [name_f]Calla[/name_f] instead? [name_f]Lenna[/name_f] is gorgeous, but I prefer [name_f]Lena[/name_f] spelling.
I understand re Culla. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] would be pronounced lee-na where I’m from rather than [name_f]Lenna[/name_f] x
I like both! I do think Culla is a bit too close to Colour, as especially where I am people pronounce it like Culla. I love [name_f]Lenna[/name_f] though! I do like the look of [name_f]Lena[/name_f] more, but I know that where i’m from that would immediately be Lee-na.
