Is [name]Hannah[/name] very popular? What are your thoughts on [name]Hannah[/name], and what would you pair with [name]Hannah[/name]?
Thanks!
In 2010, [name]Hannah[/name] was the 22nd most popular baby name. There were 6891 baby girls born with that name that year. To pu it in perspective, that’s about as popular as [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Leah[/name], [name]Nevaeh[/name], and [name]Sofia[/name] spelled with an f. So yes, It is a pretty popular name. But I think there’s good reason it’s so popular. It’s a beautiful, simple, classic name, with a lovely meaning: [name]Grace[/name]. If you love it, I definitely think you should use it. Some of my favorite names with [name]Hannah[/name] are [name]Rebecca[/name], [name]Molly[/name], [name]Beth[/name], and, funnily enough, [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] is pretty. It seems to be slowing declining in popularity but it still ranked #22 in the US in 2010.
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Maren[/name]

[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]

[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Patience[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Kendall[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Karis[/name]
I love [name]Hannah[/name]! It means the same thing as my grandmother’s MN so I’ve considered it in honor of her. It’s so sweet and timeless. It’s a lot less popular now than it was several years ago (when it was on the top 5 or so, I believe!)… Last year it ranked number 22, with 6,891, which averages about 137 Hannahs born per state. Last year it ranked number 26 in my state, with 285 Hannahs born. I checked, and there are 67 counties in my state, so that averages 4 Hannahs born in each county in my state for the past year, which is not too bad at all, imo. I know you said what state you were in when I mentioned the statistics for [name]Lily[/name], but I can’t remember, haha, so I couldn’t check.
And as for combos… I’m trying to settle on one for [name]Hannah[/name], but right now I’m thinking [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Eve[/name] [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Lily[/name] [name]Adele[/name]. I have also liked (and considered) in the past: [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Giselle[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Eve[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Alice[/name]. I used the name [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Eve[/name] in a story once (she was a princess, haha), and I always thought that was awesome.
What about:
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Estelle[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
Good luck!
Thanks, [name]Ash[/name]! WE are actually in [name]Alabama[/name] Hubby mentioned [name]Hannah[/name] to me last night, as we were discussing [name]Susannah[/name]… for those of you whom have followed my name drama, it is no secret that, while I may adore [name]Susannah[/name] is not his favorite, and it is merely b/c of the [name]SU[/name] at the beginning, having said that I clearly see where he is going with [name]Hannah[/name] (Biblical, similar feel to [name]Susannah[/name] without the [name]SU[/name]) Not sure how she would fit with the others specifically [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], but I am willing to consider her. and I am pretty sure [name]Lemon[/name] had threw her out to me a long time ago as a good fit
It is a pretty name, that I heavily considered in 1999 when we had our third child, then a distant cousin used it (named her daughter [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]) and I crossed it off our list, but hubby says he doesn’t care that the distant cousin used it (we see them maybe every two years, and we don’t live in the same state)! ha! I am going to try to see how popular it is in our state…
o.k. it says in 2010 [name]Hannah[/name] was #17 with 141 babies being named [name]Hannah[/name]. Is that bad?
I have thought of:
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (though I feel for some reason that [name]Jane[/name] puts a country spin on it)
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] is a lovely classic that works well with your other children, imo.
Well, I love [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]. I’m pretty biased, though, haha, I’m about 99% sure my first daughter will be [name]Isabelle[/name]. I also really like [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Eve[/name], though–it has a soft, down-to-earth, sweet, dignified, classy feel to it, to me. [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] is cute, too, but I think that’s the name of one of the Gosselin sextuplets.
And I did a bit of math for you–I think the odds are pretty good for you with [name]Hannah[/name]! It averages that there were 2 Hannahs born last year in each county, so the likelihood of your daughter coming across a bajillion other Hannahs (or even being in the same grade as a [name]Hannah[/name]) are fairly slim!
Ooh, [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] would be so pretty! And no, I don’t think 141 babies in [name]AL[/name] named [name]Hannah[/name] is too many. I would say [name]Hannah[/name] is a classic that goes well with [name]Sophie[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name].
O.K. this may sound nit picky, but do you think when saying “[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]” together it may sound a bit like saying “hannibal”- don’t even know if that is how you spell it, but that awful movie, the Silience of the Lambs [name]Guy[/name]?? and do you think by the time she is older [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Montana[/name] won’t be a big deal???
I really think [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Joy[/name] would be so pretty!!
Thank you for doing teh [name]Math[/name] [name]Ash[/name]! 2 is not bad at all!!!
[name]How[/name] about [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name]?
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Joy[/name] would be really pretty! I also like [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name].
The whole [name]Hannibal[/name] thing didn’t even enter my mind, lol, and I still don’t get the connection. I think you’re fine.
ohh… I really like your suggestion of [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Eve[/name], [name]Ash[/name]!! That is pretty!! heck, I even like [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Eve[/name]!! I just like [name]Eve[/name] Pretty!!!
I should like the name [name]Hannah[/name]…but I just don’t. Maybe because for awhile, every other child I knew of was being hamed this. I find it a little boring. [name]Anna[/name] or [name]Susannah[/name] are both so much more appealing to me.
[name]Anna[/name] is lovely, combo [name]Anna[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Mary[/name]/[name]Jane[/name]
or
[name]Anne[/name]-[name]Marie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
rollo
I think [name]Hannah[/name] fits well w/ [name]Sophie[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name]. I only know 1 [name]Hannah[/name] who is about 10 years old. She’s very kind and motherly
We considered [name]Anna[/name], but ultimately felt she is too close to our [name]Emma[/name].
It’s not something I’d choose. I much prefer [name]Anna[/name]. Then again, I was born into a generation of quadrillions of Hannahs, so I suppose that has put me off, even though I wouldn’t worry about it’s current popularity. It’s a perfectly nice, respectable name though, and of course I’m just an internet stranger so you don’t even need to consider any of my opinions!
I think it needs something spunky and maybe a tiny bit frilly in the middle. What about:
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Julia[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Vivien[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Constance[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Meredith[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
