I have heard this pronounced multiple ways. How do you say it?
an-OOK is my pronunciation
The [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation in an American accent (and my preferred pronunciation) is uh-NUKE (going to differ slightly depending on accent) and the [name_m]Dutch[/name_m] pronunciation in an American accent is uh-NUK (will differ slightly depending on accent)
An-uke (uke like Luke)
Maybe @katinka would be the best person to ask!

uh-nuke is how i say it x
I say a-NOOK. With a short A like in apple.
Thanks for the tag! This is my daughter’s name, and the pronunciation we use is closest to the French one, since we have French family.
Rhymes with Luke, stress on second syllable, first syllable more AH than UH.
I pronounce it just like katinka!
Starting with ah- and rhyming with [name_m]Luke[/name_m].
Uh-nook
Nook not like book but with the double oo sound.
[name_f]My[/name_f] son goes to preschool with a little girl named [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] and her family pronounces it Uh-NOOK (rhymes with “a BOOK”)
i say it as ah-nuk (?) like the first part of how inukshuk is pronounced but with an ‘a’ beginning. simply because i can’t get past the ‘nuke’ part in the name if it’s pronounced the other way :))
I pronounce it as “ah-NOOK” rhyming with book.
I also pronounce it ah-NOOK as in book.
uh-nuk is how I would say it
Uh-NOOK
Uh-nook (like Katinka)
I pronounce it like A Nook , like nooks and crannies
Thank you! I listened to some videos of the pronounciation and they were all very different
(Uh-nook) or (ah-nook)
