Here is my ideal sib-set: [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Brooke[/name], and [name]Aubree[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]. What do you think of this sib-set?
I would love to know what you guys think.
Well, I don’t much care for the all-A theme. Children are individuals and don’t come as matched sets. You have a mix of extremely popular names ([name]Ava[/name], [name]Aubree[/name], [name]Brooke[/name], and [name]Ariana[/name] to a certain extent) grounded by dignified classics like [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Maeve[/name].
Each combination flows well, so I think you have a good ear for names!
I actually like themes for siblings. My sibling and I have matching initials… I feel like it’s a special thing linking us (beyond, you know, being siblings…lol), but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I do like your names … they flow very well. I prefer the [name]Aubrey[/name] spelling though…
I’ve never been into the shared initial thing, but if you love all of them why not? I just personally wouldn’t do it cause if you had a surprise fourth daughter you would be kind of locked into the theme.
I also like [name]Aubrey[/name] more than [name]Aubree[/name].
I especially love [name]Ariana[/name]! [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Brooke[/name] is cute, although I like [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] even more. [name]Ava[/name] is lovely, but it’s always felt so exotic to me, so much more exotic than [name]Ariana[/name]. I don’t know if that really matters, though. And I find [name]Aubree[/name] a lot more trendy than [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Ariana[/name]–I think [name]Aubrey[/name] at least makes it feel more classic. If I had to pair three “A” names together (including [name]Ariana[/name]), I would probably choose [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Alice[/name], and [name]Audrey[/name]–I think that’d make a lovely set. I probably wouldn’t use alliteration like that, but I don’t have a problem with people who do. I think alliteration can really work (although it seems pretty tacky on the families I know–I actually don’t mind [name]Ava[/name], [name]Ariana[/name], and [name]Aubrey[/name], though–it doesn’t seem that tacky to me. Maybe because I like it more than the example of alliteration I’m thinking of–the Duggars, and my cousins, who also happen to have all “J” names).
Good luck!
