I would love to hear some opinions on the name Cypress for a boy. We really want something Forest/Nature related and our top names right now are Shepherd and Everest. But… for some reason, I can’t stop coming back to Cypress. I love that it’s a tree name and I’m obsessed with the nickname Cy! But is it too different? Too girly? Are Shepherd and Everest just better? Or is it really cool? Talk me into or out of Cypress!

I am pro- [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]! I like both [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_u]Everest[/name_u] as well! All three are handsome nature names, and I would assume they are all boys (so not too girly imo)
I’ve kind of always liked [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] more as a middle name, probably because I just have one combination I really love: [name_u]Bodhi[/name_u] [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]
but [name_m]Cy[/name_m] is such a sweet nickname, and I think with your style he’d be an awesome first name choice.
Team [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]! Such a cool name and very unexpected. It’s gender neutral but definitely masculine to me! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it 
However I do really like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] nn [name_m]Shep[/name_m] as well!
[name_u]Cypress[/name_u] is gorgeous! Such a distinct and sunny sound
I enjoy the name [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]. Different but similar in sound to [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]. So it would be too outlandish to live with

Must admit I love [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] much more than your other options… [name_m]Cy[/name_m] is a very cool nickname though! Reminds me of [name_m]Cy[/name_m] [name_m]Young[/name_m] which is a fun sporty link. (His name was actually Denton?! But [name_m]Cy[/name_m] came from “cyclone”. [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] is much better than Cyclone lol.)
I love [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]. I don’t think [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] sounds like a nature name really, more like an occupation name.
Here to talk you into [name_u]Cypress[/name_u]. (; [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] is amazing and the nickname [name_m]Cy[/name_m] is absolutely perfect. While I wouldn’t dislike the name on a girl, I would definitely assume it was for a boy. Not girly at all. I do really love the other names you are considering as well (especially Shepherd), but [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] is my favorite of the three. [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] would be a terrific sibset one day.
It sounds feminine to me, I think because of duchess, empress, heiress etc. [name_m]Just[/name_m] similar sounds with those feminine words.
I like [name_u]Everest[/name_u] [name_u]Cypress[/name_u], or how about [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] nn [name_m]Cy[/name_m]?
