[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Eleni[/name]

I like [name]Daphne[/name] for your Ds.

I like [name]Elisabeth[/name], [name]Emilia[/name], and [name]Evangeline[/name] for Es.

For your Fs I like [name]Felicity[/name].

For D’s, I like: [name]Delilah[/name], [name]Danae[/name], and [name]Daphne[/name]

For E’s, I like: [name]Emaline[/name] (or [name]Emmeline[/name], or however you want to spell it), [name]Evelyn[/name], and [name]Elisabeth[/name] (hard to narrow these ones down)

For F’s: [name]Freya[/name]

My favorites from your list are [name]Dahlia[/name] & [name]Etta[/name]. Pretty names.

[name]Love[/name]:
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Diana[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Esme[/name] (But I worry about popularity w/ this one)
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]

Dislike:
[name]Danae[/name]-sounds like a made-up name from the '80’s. Like a spin on [name]Renee[/name].
[name]Deborah[/name]-not ready for revival
[name]Docia[/name]-may never be ready for a revival!
[name]Dorothea[/name]-I’m just not that fond of the [name]Dorothy[/name] names. I really don’t like [name]Thea[/name].
[name]Effie[/name]-I know a lot of people think this is so cute, but I just really don’t like it. Sound like F you!
[name]Electra[/name]-too much for me.
[name]Elena[/name]-Too tied to all the Alainas/Elaynas/Alaynas
[name]Emmanuelle[/name]-soft core porn
[name]Freya[/name]-[name]Don[/name]'t get the appeal.

I love:
[name]Deirdre[/name]*
[name]Effie[/name]* - as a nickname.
[name]Eleanor/name-There is one of each. E or no E?
[name]Electra[/name]

[name]Esme[/name] - i also worry about a sudden influx of Esmes.
[name]Etta[/name] - but, [name]Etta[/name] [name]Garner[/name]? Maybe not. [name]How[/name] about Detta?
[name]Felicity[/name] - [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Garner[/name] sounds lovely!

[name]Danae[/name]–lovely and not made up. Have you seen the Klimpt painting with this title?

No, I haven’t. And I realized as I wrote it that I might be opening myself up to ridicule if there was a legitimate [name]Danae[/name] name. BUT, I was giving honest opinions and I stand by my initial reaction that the sound of this name has a certain 80’s made-up feel. (Maybe b/c I know someone named [name]Heather[/name] [name]Denee[/name]-accent over the first ‘e’-can’t figure out accent marks!)
Ultimately, I think the sound is simply out of step today.

You have amazing taste!
The only ones I did not like are: [name]Danae[/name], [name]Deborah[/name], [name]Diana[/name], [name]Deirdre[/name] (D, as you can see, isn’t my favorite letter;)

Iz

[name]Do[/name] you really think [name]Esme[/name] will become popular? [name]Just[/name] because of Twilight? I hope not!!

Off your list I really like . . .
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Emaline[/name]*-This is how its spelled in our family”but we like [name]Emmeline[/name] or [name]Emeline[/name] too.
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Etta[/name]

For D my favorite is probably [name]Daphne[/name], but I like [name]Delilah[/name], [name]Diana[/name], and [name]Dahlia[/name] too.
E goes to [name]Eliza[/name]. I like [name]Eleanor[/name] (no e at the end) and [name]Esme[/name] too.
For F, I don”t really love any of these names. I guess I would go with [name]Francesca[/name]. [name]Felicity[/name] isn”t awful either, but it”s just too frilly for me.

I think [name]Esme[/name] has many things going for it-short, begins and ends in a vowel-nice meaning- that make it perfectly compatible with most hot names right now. Twilight only gave it the visiblity.

My favs:

[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Dorothea[/name] - I prefer Dorthes though

[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Electra[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]

[name]Felicity[/name]

Narrowed things down a bit. Also added [name]Eleanore[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] as these are two variations that we adore. Obviously we just need to get the E names narrowed down now, since we have 2 “D” names and 2 “F” names picked already. If you could let us know what your favorite D and F names are and then opinions on our E names, we’d be very appreciative. Thanks Nameberries!
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name]
[name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Emaline[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]

[name]Daphne[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], and [name]Frances[/name].

Have you put up your DEF boys list yet?

I’m putting it up now, the boys’ list. It took us longer to decide on our A,B,C names for boys.

[name]Dahlia[/name] – I like Dahila. I don’t know if you’re too concerned about the [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] ties? I don’t think I’d necessarily be. ^-^ I find [name]Dahlia[/name] to be very lovely and girlish, almost like an icon of the girlishness of the women of the 1920s’ and 30s’. I think it beautiful.
[name]Danae[/name] – I love this name. <33 I do think there’d be a bit of confusion concering it’s pronunciation, but otherwise I think it’s absolutely wonderful. I’m a huge fan of mythology, though, so I guess that’s to be expected!
[name]Daphne[/name] – I adore [name]Daphne[/name]. It’s very cute, but it still pulls off a sort of not too cutesy feel. I find it to be very feminine, probably because of the character off of Scooby Doo, haha.
[name]Darcy[/name] – I love [name]Darcy[/name] - but only for a boy. It’s originally a boy’s name, and I personally want to keep it that way. I dislike it on a girl… of course, I’m a huge fan of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] (and “Pride and Prejudice”) so there’s that. xD
[name]Deborah[/name] – I. [name]LOVE[/name]. [name]Deborah[/name]! I find it’s meaning to be absolutely darling, and I think that it is just an overall lovely name. It just feels so… Hewbrew and breathtaking. xD
[name]Deirdre[/name] – [name]Love[/name] [name]Deirdre[/name]. It’s got a nice sound and look to it, and I love it’s Celtic feel!
[name]Delilah[/name] – I like [name]Delilah[/name], but I don’t love it. I just don’t like the sound for some reason, or the spelling… I much prefer the similar [name]Delia[/name], or perhaps something like [name]Jezebel[/name] or [name]Bathsheba[/name], whilst we’re on the topic of Biblical villains.
[name]Diana[/name] – [name]Diana[/name] is beautiful, it really is. ^-^ I prefer the French version of [name]Diane[/name] - [name]Dianne[/name] - a wee bit more, however, but [name]Diana[/name] is one of the loveliest names, I think.
[name]Docia[/name] – I like [name]Docia[/name]! I’m not entirely sure on how to pronounce it, but I’ll certainly look it up. Gorgeous, gorgeous! [name]Ever[/name] think of using it as a nickname for the gorgeous [name]Theodosia[/name]?
[name]Dorothea[/name] – I like [name]Dorothea[/name] a lot. [name]Dorotea[/name] is beautiful as well, in my opinion… [name]Dorothea[/name] is similar to a lot of names, I think: [name]Theodora[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], [name]Dot[/name], [name]Dottie[/name]…
[name]Effie[/name] – Absolutely adore [name]Effie[/name]. It’s simple, gorgeous and very strong. I have a character with this nickname, actually; her full name is [name]Euphemia[/name].
[name]Eleanor/name – I love [name]Eleanor[/name]. I especially love the spelling [name]Elinor[/name], actually; it feels more unique and underused, under appreciated, than [name]Eleanor[/name], haha. I like [name]Eleanore[/name] as well, though… I’m stuck.
[name]Electra[/name] – I like [name]Electra[/name], but prefer [name]Electa[/name].
[name]Elena[/name] – I like [name]Elena[/name], but I don’t love it, personally.
[name]Eleni[/name] – I like [name]Eleni[/name], but again - I’m not sure I’m sold. It does remind me of the character from ‘The Vampire Chronicles’, which I like.
[name]Elisabeth[/name] – Absolutely stunning, as it always will be. So, so gorgeous and classic.
[name]Eliza[/name] – I like [name]Eliza[/name]! I like it as a nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name], mostly.
[name]Emaline[/name] – I like [name]Emaline[/name]. I personally prefer the spelling [name]Emmeline[/name], but that’s just me.
[name]Emilia[/name] – [name]Love[/name] it. [name]Love[/name] [name]Emiliana[/name], love [name]Emilie[/name]… [name]Emilie[/name]'s actually the name of one of my favorite singers.
[name]Emmanuelle[/name] – Beautiful! For some reason, I just find [name]Emmanuelle[/name] to be so breathtaking.
[name]Esme[/name] – I like [name]Esme[/name], but this is the masculine spelling. I love [name]Esme[/name] for a boy, and Esmee for a girl.
[name]Etta[/name] – Beautiful! See [name]Effie[/name], otherwise.
[name]Evangeline[/name] – Nice, but the religious overtone personally put me off.
[name]Evelyn[/name] – I love [name]Evelyn[/name]! That might be because it’s the name of one of my favorite authors–who’s a guy. Not sure if I love it more for a boy or girl, though.
[name]Felicity[/name] – Not my style really.
[name]Frances[/name] – Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I absolutely love [name]Frances[/name] for a girl and [name]Francis[/name] for a boy, tehe.
[name]Francesca[/name] – Gorgeous, just like [name]Frances[/name]! [name]Francesca[/name] is innocent and lovely to me, and I think it’s also got a bit of hidden spunk. Lots of nickname options here, too.
[name]Freya[/name] – [name]Love[/name] it. It’s just defiant, strong-willed, gorgeous, wild… it brings to mind a place, perhaps Iceland or [name]Wales[/name] or [name]Scotland[/name], with a red-headed girl just sort of… floating in the air, with green rolling hills behind her and a large dark lake, with a cloudy sky behind her head, completely darkened and threatening a storm. xD Gorgeous.

I like:
[name]Danae[/name] (we have a family friend with this name–I love it!)
[name]Evelyn[/name]

I don’t care for any of the F names on your list.

Been doing a lot of asking around between our family and friends and we’ve narrowed things down again. We just need to choose an E name. We have it down to these three:
[name]Eleanore[/name]
[name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]

Any thoughts at all are greatly appreciated.

Hopefully, we will decide by tonight so I can post our G, H, and I list. My friend (the one who suggested this technique) told me earlier that I am flying through names faster than she did…but then she showed me just her A-name list. Then I understood, it was about 30 names long! EEk!

D: My favorites from your list are [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Delilah[/name]. I adore the name [name]Daphne[/name]. It’s sweet and is full of interesting sounds. I like [name]Delilah[/name] a lot as well. Significantly more than I like [name]Dahlia[/name]. I do like [name]Delia[/name] though. [name]Delilah[/name] is soft and pretty and once you look past it’s negative Biblical reference, it has a very ethereal sound.

E: This was a hard one! So many amazing E names. I would spell [name]Eleanor[/name] without the E. I had four favorites from this section of the list. The first is [name]Emmeline[/name] (this is my favorite spelling because I love [name]Emme[/name] as a nickname). It’s on trend without being trendy or popular. Second is [name]Emmanuelle[/name], this is my guilty pleasure name! It’s got so many great nicknames and just sounds gorgeous. Third is [name]Esme[/name], I love the sound of this name and it’s simultaneous simplicity and beauty, my only worry is that people might pronounce it wrong. Fourth is [name]Evangeline[/name]. This is a lot of name but I love it nonetheless, its so uber feminine and has great nickname potential.

F: I adore [name]Freya[/name]. Gorgeous, simple, easy to say and spell. I also love [name]Frances[/name] a lot. I can see it rising as a middle name, but I love it as a first name as well. That being said, I quite like [name]Francesca[/name], though I think [name]Frances[/name] has more edge to it. [name]Francesca[/name] does have a lot of nice nicknames though (I love [name]Chessie[/name]) but I like [name]Frankie[/name] the most and that works for [name]Frances[/name] nicely, so [name]Frances[/name] wins!

[name]Hope[/name] that helps!
