What do you prefer, [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] or [name_f]Dalia[/name_f]? I really like both, and I’m not sure what spelling to use. The pronunciation will be the same.
It’s my second child, my first daughter name is [name_f]Sienna[/name_f].
I personally like [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] a lot but I’m not sure if the name will always end up being written [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] and she will have to keep correcting it all the time. I like that [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] is also a flower name.
I prefer [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], but both are lovely. I honestly think it would be the other way around & you would have to correct people that it’s not spelled like the flower To be fair, the “Dahlia” spelling may just be more common where I’m from
To me [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] is the flower and [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] is more likely to be “Da-lee-uh”
I personally prefer [name_f]Dalia[/name_f], but I actually believe [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] would be the more intuitive spelling as so many people associate the name with the flower specifically!
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]! She’s perfect with [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], too. [name_f]Love[/name_f] this sibset. Curious for mn.
Both spelling are beautiful, valid and easily recognized. I think you should go with the spelling that you love the most and that is more intuitive where you live. For example, where I live, [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] is the most common spelling. However, in English-speaking countries, I believe [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] is the most common way to write it.
What’s your heritage? What languages do you speak? Where do you plan to live in the future? You can base your decision on those answers.
[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] name, and a great fit with [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]! I prefer the [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] spelling. I think it would be easier to say “spelled like the flower” (even if someone doesn’t actually know how to spell the flower) than to spell it out the other way.
I prefer the look of [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] - it looks more floral and complete to me
I prefer [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] is my favourite!
I think [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] looks more ‘complete’ and I love the earthy floral associations which work beautifully with Sienn@
I agree with a lot of people here — [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] looks more complete!
