[name]Just[/name] looking for reviews and thoughts on this name. Thanks!
I like that it’s uncommon without being weird but when I say it all I hear is the word ‘dull’…
I know a little girl with this name. They call her Dalty
I have a cousin named [name]Dalton[/name]. I also know a few guys with the name. I don’t find the name to be anything special, and I’ve never met a [name]Dalton[/name] who seemed like a [name]Dalton[/name].
I can kind of see [name]Dalton[/name]'s appeal. It’s a family surname for me so I’ve thought about it as maybe a MN or something, but without that significance I probably wouldn’t consider it. I know a little boy whose name is [name]Dalton[/name] [name]Matthew[/name], and he’s pretty cute, but I’ve always felt it was just a part of the surname trend. I don’t know very many but I always thought it would be one of those names that would be easily dated to 2010 or so.
As far as surnames go, though, it is pretty cool.
I like [name]Dalton[/name] because it’s easy for most English speakers to spell/pronounce, but not many people have it. I work with a [name]Dalton[/name] and he was not fond of it growing up, but likes it now as an adult because it is different, but accessible.
I want to love [name]Dalton[/name] but I cannot! I can see the appeal but the only ones I know are real jerks, so the name has a bad stigma for me .
I don’t really like it, but I don’t have a reason.
I love it. It has a nice laid back cowboy feel.
My friend’s stepson is named Dalton, and I like it well enough. For me, it has a little bit of a country/western vibe, all boots, trucks, and cattle, but that is probably because my friend’s family is like that.
ETA: Ah, I see frustratedauthor also thinks it has a cowboy feel, so maybe there’s more to my perception than just the one personal association.
Never met one but there is a child in a horror movie “Insidious” with this name and I can’t get past that connection.
I like it… I too think it has a cowboy-cool feel to it, and grounded yet with a touch of sophistication. Not common but not weird or trendy either.
