As you may know, [name_m]Damian[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] are among my absolute favorite names. I love both of them so much, that I am torn over the name of the 4th son in my dream family.
My current dream brother set is [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Timothy[/name_m], [name_m]Damian[/name_m] and [name_m]Stephen[/name_m]. It was originally [name_m]Damian[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Timothy[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_m]Stephen[/name_m], but I then fell in absolute love with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. So I dropped [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and put [name_m]Damian[/name_m] in it’s place. However, [name_m]Peter[/name_m] has come back to my radar, once more.
Now, in terms of style, I’m aware [name_m]Peter[/name_m] fits much better in with the others than [name_m]Damian[/name_m]. Not only because it’s Biblical like the others, but also [name_m]Damian[/name_m] having more “demonic” associations due to The Omen. However, I also like [name_m]Damian[/name_m] in the same set because of the subtle contrast. I also fell [name_m]Damian[/name_m] transitions better from [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] to [name_m]Stephen[/name_m], having an “m” in the middle like the first 3 and ending with “-ən” like [name_m]Stephen[/name_m]. On the contrary, [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a true and tried classic that I’ve always loved. I’ve also think [name_m]Peter[/name_m] sound darling on a child today, especially when it’s not that common amongst this generation anymore (then again, neither is [name_m]Damian[/name_m] really, but still). What do you think?
Also, please don’t let personal bias dictate what you choose. What I mean is don’t choose, say, [name_m]Peter[/name_m] only because you hate [name_m]Damian[/name_m] or choose [name_m]Damian[/name_m] because you knew an unfriendly [name_m]Peter[/name_m].
Edit: Some other names I have been considering too, but don’t like nearly as much:
Miles
Mark
Roman
Paul
Maximilian
