I don’t think there’d be anything wrong with having more than one middle name. However, I do think it sounds better to have [name]Britton[/name] be the last middle name since it sounds quite surname-y. [name]Eloise[/name] Dandelion is gorgeous to me, and I think [name]Eloise[/name] Dandelion [name]Britton[/name] sounds lovely.

[name]Estella[/name] - I prefer [name]Stella[/name], but [name]Estella[/name] is nice, too.
[name]Harlow[/name] - I really like it.
[name]Indira[/name] - I honestly find it pretentious and tacky for non-[name]Indian[/name] people to use this name. Sorry…
[name]Eloise[/name] - My favorite from the list. I think it sounds best with Dandelion, by far.
[name]Lyra[/name] - I like it a lot, but it’s a bit forgettable to me.

I hope that helps!

I’m honestly not a fan of Dandelion, but I adore [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Britton[/name]. I think that as a second mn it’ll be just fine though.

Personally, I would just use one middle. I like the way “[name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]” sounds.
If you are going to use 2, something shorter than Dandelion (4 syllables) would probably work better. [name]Daisy[/name] or [name]Leonie[/name] maybe?
I voted for [name]Eloise[/name]

While I don’t like Dandelion, I think it’s fine as a second middle name, and if you want to use it, there’s no reason not to.

[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] Dandelion [name]Blue[/name] got my vote.

I’m a big fan of two MNs, but I think Dandelion is too whimsical. [name]Lyra[/name] [name]Britton[/name] and [name]Indira[/name] [name]Britton[/name] are gorgeous, though. I would love to meet a little [name]Lyra[/name] [name]Blue[/name] or [name]Indira[/name] [name]Blue[/name]!

Good luck!

I’m not a fan of two middles, but don’t mind them overall, but in this case, since both middles are really long, it just seems like way too much. If it was [name]Britton[/name] [name]Lee[/name] or [name]Britton[/name] [name]May[/name], I could get on board…

I clicked on this thread with the intention of saying “don’t do it”, but I really like [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] Dandelion [name]Blue[/name]. I think it’s cute.

I like it with just [name]Britton[/name]. I think Dandelion sounds ridiculous, silly and pretentious (“look at how naturey I am!”).

[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Britton[/name] & [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] are gorgeous combos.

All the names for this little girl are good. I’m sure she will like any of them! In my opinion [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] is a great name and Dandilion takes away from it. My favorites for the first names are [name]Estella[/name], [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Elouise[/name] sooooo pretty! Good [name]Luck[/name]!

I didn’t vote because I don’t like Dandelion in there at all, with the last name of [name]Blue[/name] and with what sounds like a word name in [name]Britton[/name] the whole combo becomes too wordy. [name]Britton[/name] and Dandelion also end in the same sound so the flow isn’t great, but I do think a different second middle could work…

Something like [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Blue[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Blue[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Blue[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Ottilie[/name] [name]Blue[/name], ok some of those are too popular but it gives you an idea of what I mean, the name needs to be feminine and I think sounding in an ‘ee’ or ‘a’ sound would work well.

I knew some people would HATE dandelion. I thought it might me cute and add some light/humor to my otherwise heavy / serious name choices. But I agree it is a mouthful.

Does anyone have any fun / whimsical middle name ideas … maybe flowers (not violet, rose etc) or something else cute. Maybe [name]Dahlia[/name]?

[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Blue[/name]?

[name]Estella[/name] ([name]Stella[/name]) [name]Blue[/name] and [name]Lyra[/name] [name]Blue[/name] are lovely. I’ll vote for [name]Lyra[/name] but I love [name]Estella[/name] equally
[name]Eloise[/name] is so overdone and boring. I’m really getting tried of [name]El[/name]- names

I like Dandelion! Having a longer name helps with the flow. Of course the “safer” flower names will be preferred here but it’s a 2nd mn; it doesn’t need to be safe.

Nat108 - I love [name]Eloise[/name]. But I agree with what you said about it. that is my worry too. The [name]El[/name] thing is boring and I am afraid that [name]Eloise[/name] will keep going up and up. (But [name]Estella[/name] has that problem a bit too… could end up with an [name]Ella[/name]. Ugg. I don’t want that. I think [name]Essie[/name], [name]Estie[/name] or the initials E.B. would be better nm choices)

I voted for [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] Dandelion.

[name]Just[/name] gorgeous! I say do it - two middles is just fine. And having a more flouncy one tucked away as 2nd mn is totally acceptable  I hope to do something similar myself.

Good luck.

[name]Blue[/name] is a cool last name! I chose (the least popular) [name]India[/name] because I think it’s the nicest! That said, I quite like all your first name choices (although maybe not so much [name]Lyra[/name]). I’m not a massive fan of the middle name Dandelion, but that might be because I have a cousin named [name]Chilli[/name] Dandelion and when her mother announced her name, half of my family had a simultaneous coronary  PS I think two middle names is totally fine! I’m hoping to give my children two middle names (if I can convince their father!).

Your names are great, but I can’t get on board with Dandelion. Dandelions are considered a weed where I live, and there isn’t really a positive association with them. There are so many other options for fun, pretty, irreverent names, whether nature or not. What about:

Poppy
Marigold
Violet
Petunia
Ivy
Primrose
Rosabel

I also like Britton as the second name because the alliteration between Britton and Blue sounds fantastic.

This all said, the fact that your last name is Blue (very fun by the way!) already adds a sense of irreverence to the names from my perspective. I don’t know that you need more irreverence or it might seem a bit much.

Also, I don’t think Britton is as heavy as you think. It has a light sound to me; is still feminine; perhaps because of Brittany?

I would avoid India because isn’t India a kind of ink? India Blue reminds me of that.

I’m not a fan of Harlow as it reminds me of harlot. I am probably in the minority on that.

Eloise Poppy Britton Blue
Eloise Ivy Britton Blue
Eloise Violet Britton Blue
Estella Marigold Britton Blue
Lyra Chrysanthemum Britton Blue

Oh I love Dandelion. It’s super cool. I’m generally not a fan of double middles, but something about your last name makes it OK.

I voted for [name]Estella[/name], because I think it’s the only one (and possibly [name]Eloise[/name]) that can stand the harshness of [name]Britton[/name] if that makes sense. Something like [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Britton[/name] is just so…heavy.

I voted for [name]Lyra[/name], it’s easy to spell, easy to say, isn’t terribly long to balance the rest of her name, and is underused [name]IMO[/name].

Honestly I’m a big fan of whimsical names especially in the 2nd middle spot. To me it feels like a ‘secret’ name between parent and child, When asked she could always tell her classmates her middle name is [name]Britton[/name] if she didn’t like Dandelion
