Hey guys!
So I’ve been thinking about the names [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] and [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] lately. I really want them to have a nickname, [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] will be short for [name_u]Dani[/name_u], and [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] will be short for [name_f]Kat[/name_f]. But the problems are, although I adore the non [name_u]Dani[/name_u] for [name_f]Danielle[/name_f], I feel like [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] is a tiny little bit not feminine enough. And for [name_f]Katarina[/name_f], I like how it ends in an A, which makes me feel like it’s feminine enough, but it’s a bit too long for people to keep on calling her that, and since I love it as a name, it will just get kind of weird.
So which one do you guys like the best? And why?
[name_f]Danielle[/name_f] is definitely feminine enough if that is what you’re worried about. [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] doesn’t seem like it’s too long. It’s one of those names that flows and doesn’t sound like a mouthful, so if you like it, you should go for it.
I prefer [name_f]Danielle[/name_f], but both are really pretty. I don’t think you could go wrong with either. Also I don’t agree with the concerns you voiced… I think you may be overthinking it a little since you are so close to it… totally understandable given the importance of this decision, and something I can totally relate to b/c I do the same thing all the time as I work.through this naming my daughter process. XO good luck!!
I like [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] best! I think it’s feminine enough. You could always consider [name_f]Daniella[/name_f] if you were worried though
Maybe go with [name_f]Dania[/name_f] or [name_f]Katrine[/name_f] instead.
If you’d prefer a “frillier”/more feminine name, what about [name_f]Daniella[/name_f] or [name_f]Daniela[/name_f] to get the nickname [name_u]Dani[/name_u]? I personally prefer [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kat[/name_f] because I don’t really like the nickname [name_u]Dani[/name_u], but I think they’re both nice.
