Darcy

What do we think of [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]? I know [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is quite commonly used for girls in [name_u]America[/name_u], but here in Australia it’s more common for boys. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it goes well with my other children’s names? Maybe [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]? Other suggestions welcome!

I absolutely love [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]! In high school I knew a boy named [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], and I always thought it was so handsome. [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], & [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] go perfectly together!
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is handsome and sweet, I love it! goes so nicely with your childrens names, too!!

(I’m in the US, by the way!)

Yes, yes, yes! I love to see [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] used for boys! I am in the US, and like you said it is mostly used for girls here! It has always been masculine to me! It goes great with your kids’ names, and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is dashing!

I love [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] on a boy, it’s so sophisticated and handsome. The Pride and Prejudice connection definitely helps.

[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is a stunning combo! I think that [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] has the same slightly aristocratic vibe of your other children’s names, while still being distinct. It’d be a great brother name for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]

Love the name, love the sibset and the full name!

In the UK it’s mainly used for girls (I’m not sure why, since it always sounded masculine to me and Mr [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] of Pride and Prejudice is probably the most famous [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] around!). I think it works fine for boys, especially if it’s an accepted boy’s name in Australia. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds handsome to me and works well with the sibling names.

Other than the ending in ee sound of the Y which seems more common for girls, I have never understood why [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] was so popular for girls given the association to Pride and Prejudice. I love [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] for a boy and it’s on my list for literary inspired names.

Perhaps [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_u]Austen[/name_u], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Bennet[/name_m] or [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m] would be too overkill on the Pride and Prejudice theme, but [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] would fit in well with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] I think.

Darcy is great with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]! And you can’t beat the P&P connection.

I love it!!

Darcy [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is so so handsome! It is also gorgeous with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], a lovely sibset.

I love [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] for a boy (big fan of Pride and Prejudice )! [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] are perfect for siblings. I really like all these names and they sound beautiful together. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is a very handsome, charming and regal name! I love all your choices!

Darcy [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is lovely! I think it suits [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] wonderfully.

I think [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] fits perfectly with your children’s names, and with Pride and Prejudice/Mr [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] being my primary association, I’ve always thought it swayed more towards a boy’s name. I think it’s great, very handsome, but sweet and boyish too.
