I voted for [name_f]Dasha[/name_f], assuming it would be pronounced with a soft “a”. I’ve nevee heard this name but it sound very sweet and I don’t care much for the other names. [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] would be my second favorite but I prefer [name_f]Camila[/name_f] or [name_f]Camille[/name_f].
Yes, we pronounce [name_f]Dasha[/name_f] with a soft “a”. Also, we are slightly leaning toward [name_f]Dasha[/name_f] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] now, and will probably use the two C names as middle name.

I like [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] the most, followed by [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. The meaning/Biblical story behind it doesn’t really bother me personally, but I am not religious. [name_f]Dasha[/name_f] is fun and pretty but in Russian culture it is strictly a nickname for [name_f]Daria[/name_f]/[name_f]Darya[/name_f], which is how I prefer it. However, I don’t think it would be any more disrespectful for you to use than [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] or [name_f]Sonia[/name_f] or [name_f]Tania[/name_f] (also Russian nicknames).
Dasha definitely. It’s my sister’s name. Of course our mom is Russian, but it’s completely fine to use it if you’re from a different culture. I mean Robert is a German name, but people with no connections to Germany use it all the time. Also, I get what choupette is saying about how it is a nickname for Daria/Darya, but it is a popular stand-alone name, too.
I love [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]!!! My absolute favorite name right now. [name_f]IMO[/name_f] [name_f]Dasha[/name_f] pales in comparison, to me it feels like someone tried to make [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] sound more different. It’s a still a pretty name, just not really my style I guess.
As for the meaning of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - I don’t think the meaning is completely “awful,” and even if it was, the name itself matters more than the meaning. According to Nameberry it means “delight” or “to flirt,” and some sources do list it as meaning “temptress,” but there are other sources that say it means “delicate”/“delicate night” or even “to hang or transport.” Overall it just shows that there isn’t much agreement over what it even means so that seems like a poor excuse not to use a gorgeous name.
I much prefer [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] to [name_f]Dasha[/name_f]. [name_f]Dasha[/name_f] feels like a nickname, not a serious name. I didn’t know any negative associations with [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], so dont think I fits a problem. Most people dont know the meanings of many names. I’m sure the future child will look it up one day, but if it bothers here it will only be for a short time
I adore [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], but since the biblical meaning bothers you, I’d choose [name_f]Dasha[/name_f], which is just as beautiful, imo.
I love [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. I think once you begin to associate the name you choose with your daughter, the meaning won’t cross your mind as much anymore; it’ll be drowned out by positive associations.
I’m not sure if you’re looking for any more suggestions, but if the meaning truly bothers you, what about [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]? It combines the sounds of [name_f]Dasha[/name_f] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and its meaning is lovely (according to the Nameberry page, the [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] flower in Victorian [name_f]England[/name_f] connoted “elegance and dignity”).
