Dazzle me with nature

I have a top 10 for boys. My boys names rarely change, but the whole list recently went on a revamp and now I only have a top 9 for girls. I have considered moving Foxglove (mn [name]Cornelia[/name]) back out of GP, but I am not sure. Give me so feedback on that and throw some weird, quirky, whimsical yet wearable nature names at me that kind of go with the names in my signature (obviously, not asking for [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Rose[/name]). Names that have been pitched (feel free to give feedback on these as well):

Hollyhock – I really, really like this, but she would inevitably be called [name]Holly[/name] by everyone but family and I knew a horrible girl named [name]Holly[/name] growing up.
Honeysuckle – I could see it as a middle, maybe. I can’t move beyond the “suckle” part.
[name]Begonia[/name] – already used by a family member
Meadowsweet – my brother is using this
Nutmeg – I like it, but have a hard time picturing it on someone between the ages of 30-55. [name]Baby[/name] and toddler, sure. Child, absolutely. [name]Free[/name] spirited teen and young adult. Cute little old lady. But not “woman”.

Awww, you have [name]Cricket[/name] on your list! I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Cricket[/name] but am too afraid to ever consider it for real. I always thought [name]Cricket[/name] [name]Azalea[/name] and [name]Pepper[/name] [name]July[/name] would make a cute summer-picnic-themed sister set. Some suggestions for you:

Aquamarine (gemstone)
Shamrock
Rosebud
Teaberry (wildflower)
Thimbleberry (wildflower)
Dewberry
[name]Buttercup[/name]
Honeybell (citrus fruit)
[name]Prairie[/name]
[name]Lotus[/name]
Starflower (wildflower)
Maypop (wildflower)
Phlox
[name]Butterfly[/name]
Silverbell (wildflower)
Snowberry (wildflower)
[name]Seal[/name]
[name]Marigold[/name]
[name]Tigerlily[/name]
Watercress
Thistle
[name]Emerald[/name]
Skylark
Sunrise
[name]Clover[/name]
[name]Pepper[/name]
[name]Ginger[/name]
[name]Briar[/name]
[name]Misty[/name]
Evergreen
[name]Maple[/name]
Hemlock
[name]Orchid[/name]
[name]Mossie[/name] (I see you have [name]Moss[/name] in your Guilty Pleasures list, but adding the -ie makes it a vintage nickname name that was actually on the charts in the late 1800s-early 1900s)

I actually know a girl called Honeysuckle nn [name]Honey[/name]. Her sisters are [name]Rosie[/name] and [name]Hebe[/name] (hee-bee) she liked her name and as far as I know doesn’t get teased about it.
[name]Ellie[/name] xx

Sandersonia - this is interesting
Solidago - My number one is Goldenrod. Solidago is the scientific name. Plus it feels masculine.
Edelweiss - like. However, my husband starts singing the song [name]EVERY[/name] TIME I mention it.
Amaranth - I love this. My only issue is when I bring it up or test drive it, I always get the “ewww it smells horrible” reference.
[name]Bluebell[/name] - we both use to love it, but have heard the [name]Blue[/name] [name]Bell[/name] Ice Cream jingle so many times on the radio that [name]Tim[/name] can’t stand it now.
Larkspur - I like this for a boy.
Calatheas - it reminds me of [name]Clematis[/name] which has always made me think of a a preying mantis for some reason.
Fairlady - I actually do like it.
Cattleya - I can’t get over the “cattle” part
[name]Jacaranda[/name] - I hear “jack around”
[name]Laelia[/name] - nms

Honeybee - super cute. I like it.
[name]Jonquil[/name] - I keep trying to like this, but the no lame just feels so abrupt and nasal.
Bellefleur - I really like it.
[name]Pomeline[/name] - Definitely like it.
[name]Alba[/name]-[name]Rosa[/name] - I used to be really into hyphenated names, but I’m not a fan anymore.
[name]Alouette[/name] - husband hates it
[name]Echo[/name] - ditto
[name]Tempest[/name] - ditto
Lupin - oh my number one HP name, how I adore thee. Too bad [name]Tim[/name] would never go for it.
Delphinus - I’m on the fence.

the names on your list are all a little too out there for me, but would love them on others kids

Aquamarine - hmmmm some days I like this and others I don’t. And either way, it’s a very strong feeling of live or hate.
Shamrock - Shamrock Farms is a large, locally owned brand.
Rosebud - When I was a kid, I had a live action version of Sleeping Beauty where the princess was Named Rosebud. I’ve crushed on this name since I was 3. Then someone mentioned that when you have a bowel movement and some of it gets in your underwear, it’s called a rosebud. Ruined it for me.
Teaberry (wildflower) - cute, but [name]Juniper[/name]'s mn is [name]Teagan[/name]
Thimbleberry (wildflower) - this is probably my favorite so far of all of the suggestions. [name]How[/name] wearable is it)
Dewberry - super cute.
[name]Buttercup[/name] - I’m on the fence
Honeybell - cute
[name]Prairie[/name] - idk why, but this seems masculine
[name]Lotus[/name] - I feel like this is more associated with a car than a flower. I know it was a flower first, but I think more Americans think of the car.
Starflower - makes me think of [name]Sailor[/name] [name]Moon[/name].
Maypop - this is cute. My reservation is that it has another “month”.
Phlox - I like this. A couple of years ago, I put this up for opinions. They were mostly negative or got a “what is this ? Did you make this up?”
[name]Butterfly[/name] - my snake is named this.
Silverbell - I like it. Probably 2nd favorite.
Snowberry - it’s cute, but if I were to choose a “snow” name, it would be Smowdrop (mn [name]Alice[/name] [name]Pearl[/name])
[name]Seal[/name] - nms
[name]Marigold[/name] - I really like it, but I [name]LOVE[/name] Goldenrod and that is too much gold for me (though, in my mind, I have had the passing thought of twins named Goldenrod [name]Leonie[/name] and [name]Marigold[/name] [name]Arrietty[/name])
[name]Tigerlily[/name] - third favorite
Watercress - I prefer Waterlily
Thistle - I love this for a boy
[name]Emerald[/name] - like it, but reminds me of Toddlers and Tiaras
Skylark - like
Sunrise - ditto with [name]Buttercup[/name]
[name]Clover[/name] - like it, but live [name]Clove[/name]
[name]Pepper[/name] - cousin named this
[name]Ginger[/name] - this was my soccer coac h’s name. She was EEEVILLL. Plus, I am a ginger.
[name]Briar[/name] - prefer Sweetbriar
[name]Misty[/name] - nms
Evergreen - I prefer on a boy
[name]Maple[/name] - used to be on my list as [name]Maple[/name] [name]Morwenna[/name]
Hemlock - this intrigues me. It may turn into a crush.
[name]Orchid[/name] - testicles
[name]Mossie[/name] - [name]Moss[/name] is on my list for a boy. [name]Mossie[/name] is cute though

[name]Poppy[/name]
[name]Fern[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Sorrel[/name]
[name]Bay[/name]
[name]Salvia[/name]

Some of the recommendations I’m loving are [name]Saffron[/name], Betony, [name]Pomeline[/name], Honeybee & Honeybell, & Nutmeg.

From your sig I love [name]Verbena[/name], Sweetbriar, Rosemint (totally usable [name]IMO[/name]), [name]Mazarine[/name] & [name]Plum[/name]. Goldenrod to me is too masculine, I prefer [name]Marigold[/name].

I don’t really have any name suggestions to add to the list, but you should check out the young adult book Entwined. It is a book about 12 princesses, and they are named in alphabetical order and all after flowers. Their names are:

Bramble
[name]Clover[/name]
Delphinium
[name]Evening[/name] [name]Primrose[/name] “[name]Eve[/name]”
[name]Flora[/name]
