so my family’s birthdays are all in december and i was wondering if i could use December as an honour name for all of them? never really considered this as a name for a future child but it just popped into my head!
also is this name actually usable or should it be more of a GP? and what are you favourite combos with either December as a first or a middle name?!
i have been too and one of my favourite boy names is August so i’d have to decide between them! though they both have family significance so maybe they could have matching month middles loll
I think it makes for an awesome middle name, very bold yet familiar; because, while it does have many nickname options, I personally just don’t find it name-y enough in sound.
I love month names! I know lots of April’s & May/Mae’s who weren’t born in those months, I don’t see why using [name_u]December[/name_u] would be any different. I know an [name_u]October[/name_u] irl who wears her name really well.
[name_u]Billy[/name_u] D [name_m]Williams[/name_m] (Lando from [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars) middle name is actually [name_u]December[/name_u] so it’s been used before! I think it could make a cute honor! I personally think it’d be weirder if the kid was born in the month of the name vs just having a month name
december is a great name! and the nn ember makes it tons more usable (especially in the first spot). i don’t think it’s a gp at all!
i agree with night - it’d be weirder if a kid was named after the month they were born in. people use june, august, april, and may on kids born in different months without issue - so i think december would be fine too!
I can’t imagine most month names as people names, except for a few of them. I don’t think they’re very wearable, however, that’s just my opinion. I think it should stay as a middle name if you use it. I don’t think she needs to be born in [name_u]December[/name_u] for you to use it either.
