Honest thoughts on the name [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]?

It’s not the most classic, timeless name, but I still think it’s super cute. And I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the nickname [name_u]Laney[/name_u]/[name_f]Lainey[/name_f]/[name_f]Lainie[/name_f]!
I love the ‘[name_u]Laney[/name_u]’ sound, but the ‘[name_u]Del[/name_u]’ beginning sounds harsh and rough to my ears.
When said quickly, I find it sounds like duh-laney which has a very unappealing sound.
I think [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] it is full of life, character and the sound is divine. Our surname would clash but
I think its a real stnd out without being outlandish.
I like [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] a lot! I think [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_u]Laney[/name_u] are both really sweet and attractive nicknames. It’s not generally my style–and I don’t have it on my list–but there was a very special little [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] in my life who passed away a year ago, and she’s definitely added spirit and affection to the name for me. I would love to meet another little [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]!

I love the name [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]…I’m sad my husband won’t let us use if due to the fact that his cousin’s little boy is named [name_u]Lane[/name_u].
