I’m looking for new favorites as I’ve gotten tired of my old list. I’ve been warming up to [name]Desmond[/name] quite a bit. I’ve never met anyone named [name]Desmond[/name], it’s not popular in my area at all. So what type of person do you imagine could carry the name [name]Desmond[/name]?
For a middle name I paired it with [name]Miles[/name]. [name]Miles[/name] has been a long time favorite so of course I googled [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Miles[/name], and apparently this is the character from the Assassins [name]Creed[/name] games, I had no idea but I love this pairing. Would it be a problem? Is this game so predominate in our culture that you would have immediately thought about this video game?
I love [name]Desmond[/name]! I imagine quite a tall, well-built guy who’s educated and kind. But I feel like it could suit many types of person. I think I’ve played the game, and still didn’t make the connection with [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Miles[/name]
I love [name]Desmond[/name]! I can only think of [name]Desmond[/name] from the show LOST–poised, good-hearted, gorgeous accent, you know. I like [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Miles[/name] a lot! The game association is completely lost on me, although I’m not sure others would make the connection. What about [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Milo[/name] instead?

I imagine the same type of guy. I also think of someone with brown hair and eyes, probably because of the Lost connection. Perhaps his name isn’t mentioned much in the game?

Yes, I first started to like the name [name]Desmond[/name] from the guy on Lost! I feel like I could actually use it now, whereas it felt a little too different back then. I do like [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Milo[/name]. My SO’s last name is Chastain, which sounds better.
Assassin’s [name]Creed[/name] is a fairly popular game, and when I saw [name]Desmond[/name], I immediately thought of [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Miles[/name] from the game. I think it’s a nice name, and I wouldn’t avoid it because of the character.
I wouldn’t pair it with [name]Miles[/name] though. As far as I know, the makers of the game plan on releasing more after this next game comes out, so it’s not as if the game is going to just disappear. While other children wouldn’t get the connection (hopefully…it’s a very violent game), teens and adults who play the game would. I know if I saw [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Miles[/name] on a birth certificate, I’d assume the parents are big fans of the game. I’d probably still think that if I saw [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Milo[/name], though it’s worlds better.
We are having twins in [name]June[/name] and we are naming our son [name]Desmond[/name]. We love the name. It has great nickname options, it’s not very common, and it is just lovely. Plus, [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Decker[/name] and “[name]Desmond[/name]” of the Beatles song are great famous Desmonds.
I think of a strong handsome guy. I’ve played the Assassin’s [name]Creed[/name] games and it still wasn’t my first thought. I love the combo of [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Miles[/name]!
I have also been warming up to [name]Desmond[/name] Lately! I have put it onto my long list! I adore the nn [name]Desi[/name] which make me think of [name]Desi[/name] Arnez from I [name]Love[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]… and therefore a handsome latin man! hahha!

If Lori had the choice she would name every Desmond, “Desmond Walter”! And I’m fine with that! I also have to suggest Desmond Walter because I think it goes so well together. I also think that boy names with a softer sound (like Miles) sound fantastic with the sophisticated Desmond:

I love this name - it was a close second for our recently born son we named [name]Felix[/name].
We thought the name was sophisticated, smart, masculine, maybe artsy and creative. It is a little off beat - in a good way. I felt like the best part about it was the adorable nn [name]Desi[/name] and then the more sophisticated full name to grow into.
I knew a boy named [name]Desmond[/name] when I was young. He was kind of nerdy but athletic and popular too, he really fit his name. His nn was [name]Dez[/name]
I love the name [name]Desi[/name], but don’t care for the full name [name]Desiderio[/name]. [name]Desmond[/name] isn’t my style and I like [name]Destin[/name] but that’s a town here. [name]Destry[/name] is cute
