Devon/Devin?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you consider these names to be male or female? I thought they were male but everyone ive spoken to says theyd think girl if they heard the name.

I think of them as male, which makes no sense because I knew two female Devins in high school. In sum, people use it for girls but I don’t think they necessarily should.

100% boy to me, but I wouldn’t be totally surprised to meet a girl one - since [name_u]James[/name_u] is now (apparently) used for girls.

I think they’re actually split 50/50 pretty evenly. I’ve actually met more girl [name_u]Devin[/name_u]/[name_u]Devon[/name_u]/[name_u]Devyn[/name_u]/Devans, but I think it’s “originally” a boy’s name. It’s kind of like the name [name_u]Shea[/name_u]/[name_u]Shay[/name_u] or [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] - can go either way and fits perfectly on either gender.

I’ve met more boys named [name_u]Devin[/name_u]/[name_u]Devon[/name_u] but it’s really feminine to me personally.

All boy to me.

I know one girl name [name_u]Devon[/name_u], so to me thats a girls name but I could see it working on a boy.
[name_u]Devin[/name_u] however looks like a boys name, and [name_u]Devyn[/name_u] would be the girls equivilent

It’s all processed meat to me, I’m always surprised to see it on anyone, but I’ve never met a girl [name_u]Devon[/name_u] and I’ve met a few boys.

I know both male and female [name_u]Devin[/name_u]/[name_u]Devon[/name_u]'s. I feel like the name could go either way you just have to adjust the spelling according to gender. Like [name_u]Deven[/name_u]/[name_u]Devyn[/name_u] is feminine and [name_u]Devin[/name_u]/[name_u]Devon[/name_u] is masculine.

All boy to me.

I have a male cousin called [name_u]Devin[/name_u]. He’ll turn 15 this year. I think of [name_u]Devon[/name_u]/[name_u]Devin[/name_u] as unisex names.

It a boys name to me.
