The husband and I love the nickname [name_m]Dex[/name_m]…(or at least think we do this week…)
Does it work with all of the above? Which would be best?
We arr leaning towards [name_m]Decimus[/name_m] or [name_m]Declan[/name_m]…
Other names you can you [name_m]Dex[/name_m] with?
(We also thought of using [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as a middle name…and then using a name that began with D as a first…since [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a family name anyway… would that work? (You can get [name_u]Lex[/name_u] from [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]…and say we used [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] “[name_m]Dex[/name_m]”?)
Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?
It works with [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m], but I’ve only heard [name_m]Decimus[/name_m] pronounced with a soft C, so it doesn’t apply.
[name_m]Dex[/name_m] could be short for [name_m]Derek[/name_m].
I think all of your [name_m]Dex[/name_m]- or Dec- suggestions work.
But my favorite by far is [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I think it is a classic and very handsome name.
[name_m]Dex[/name_m] is a cool nickname for [name_m]Declan[/name_m]! I actually love [name_m]Declan[/name_m] but I’m not wild about Dec, so this is a good alternative, I love it!
[name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] with the NN [name_m]Dex[/name_m] could work well to! I can’t think of anymore though so I’m not much help, but I love all of your options!
You can call him [name_m]Dex[/name_m] regardless of which of the D names you chose, the one that is the most instinctive though in my opinion is [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].
