Can [name]Dillon[/name] be used for a girl? have you ever heard this on a girl or does it just scream BOY to you? My baby name book says its uni-sex but I’m just not sure. I’ve always liked the name [name]Dillon[/name] with nn Dill but I’ve always assumed it was only for a boy and I’m having a girl. hmmmm
[name]Dillon[/name] is probably unisex but it feels masculine to me. As for Dill, not a fan. Too easy for teasers to put a -do on the end. Maybe [name]Dilly[/name] or [name]Dilla[/name]?
It’s totally masculine. It’s been used for girls, but that doesn’t stop the masculinity.
I don’t like the spelling [name]Dillon[/name], I personally think [name]Dylan[/name] spelled with a y makes it a little more feminine (but trendy). It’s not my favorite unisex name on a girl, but it could work, depending on the middle name(s).
[name]Dillon[/name]/[name]Dylan[/name] is all boy to me. It unnerves me to hear it on a girl.
I’m not a fan of it on a girl at all, but if you’re going to use it, I think the [name]Dylan[/name] spelling is more feminine.
I don’t really like [name]Dillon[/name]/[name]Dylan[/name] on a girl, but if so, the spelling [name]Dylan[/name] is much nicer!
I know one boy [name]Dylan[/name] and two girls [name]Dylan[/name]. I like it on a boy better and I like the [name]Dylan[/name] spelling best. [name]Dillon[/name] - while a legit Irish spelling - makes me think of [name]Matt[/name] [name]Dillon[/name].
I have a friend with a daughter [name]Adelia[/name] and they call her [name]Dilly[/name]. Maybe a “girlier” way to get to Dill / [name]Dilly[/name]?
I’m sorry but I have never seen [name]Dillon[/name]/[name]Dylan[/name] as a girl’s name.
It looks very masculine to me, I’m afraid… I prefer [name]Dylan[/name] spelled this way for a girl. I don’t know if you want any suggestions, but [name]Dilys[/name] might be another alternative. It’s such a cool name. If you love [name]Dillon[/name], you should use it! Either for this baby,or for a future son : ) Best wishes!
I have heard of [name]Dillon[/name] on a girl and it was actually on fashion designer, [name]Ralph[/name] [name]Lauren[/name]'s daughter. Her name is [name]Dylan[/name]. The [name]Lauren[/name] family were on [name]Oprah[/name] recently, and my Mom called me to tell me her ([name]Dylan[/name]'s) name becuase she knows all about my interest in names, she’s such a sweetie
For me though, not only is it very masculine sounding, but it also creates the problem of, what do you name her brother? For [name]Ralph[/name] [name]Lauren[/name], the answer was [name]Andrew[/name] and [name]David[/name], although they came along before [name]Dylan[/name]. It still seems odd to me, and I would worry about the n.n. Dill having [name]Do[/name] added to it in school (as a previous poster mentioned).
Good [name]Luck[/name]
