Eloi’s father left before eloi was old enough to remember him Eloi’s mother then remarried thinking that Eloi’s father had abanndoned them and thought of him as dead so [name_m]Eloi[/name_m] grew up with a stepfather who he thought was his real father then when he found out he left home and eventually found his father and spent a year with him his father taught him many things from traditional elvish cooking to sword fighting and archery until he was murderered so ig now eloi just has his birth mom and stepfather so he only has one birth parent left

Hmmm… That’s a tough one. Many of my characters have been put up against people they care for, but it’s usually not them who’s the end of that person. Soren Elixyvett put his brother Ragnar into a deep enchanted sleep for hundreds of years and everyone else THOUGHT he had killed him, though. Other than that I’m not sure.

Several. Specifically [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m], who was literally stabbed in the back by his best friend. This is a huge part of who he is when we meet him. His trust issues and willingness to sacrifice others to achieve his goals is a result of the fact that he has a hunt or be hunted attitude.

Not that I can remember specifically. Many of my characters love cheese though (a trait that I also share).

I was thinking about adding that into my book. I don’t know if there’s a limit though. This character has gone through a lot of struggles, and I don’t know if I want to add that in <3

A lot of my characters have bad relationships with their families. Beltrano’s whole character is influenced by the treatment he received from his family. [name_f]Zuleika[/name_f] [name_f]Feeney[/name_f] is estranged from her parents and doesn’t consider them her family. And Rosalina’s family is constantly putting her down. Those three are just the tip of the iceberg.

The real question is, do I have any characters who DON"T have a tragic backstory.
One of my favorites though has to be for [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] [name_m]Gold[/name_m], a pirate who drunkly gambled away his crew to a powerful witch. However, his younger sister was able to save them by making a deal: they all lived in exchange for her heart. (If a heart is willingly given, it can be used to create a youth spell) The witch accepted, killed his sister in front of him, and then cursed his crew with immortality.
In the story, he is over three hundred years old and still running from his problems.

A lot. I have birds, dragons, pegasi, alicorns, griffins, hippogriffs, fairies, sprites, pixies, and people who can transform into things with wings, not to mention a species of flying ferret and two strange beings based off of the [name_f]Jersey[/name_f] Devil. For some reason, I love to give my characters the ability to fly.
