I know two. One is less than a year old and is just a girl I went to hs with’s baby.

[name_m]The[/name_m] other is in his late 20s and is the younger brother of a friend from when I was growing up. He was always a good kid, fun, sporty. He and his sister are close. He’s done well.

Also I love the name. I’ve heard it since I was maybe 6 or 8 and I’m in my 30s now because of my friend’s brother and I’be always loved it. It is familiar but fresh. A good balance of playful and aging well. [name_m]Great[/name_m] name

yes, I’ve known several—it was one of the most popular names I saw while working at a preschool for the last three or so years. one was particularly, ah, challenging at times. he was very active and lacked impulse control, though he was also very sporty and loved to make people laugh.

related more to the name itself, it was nearly always the case that other kids sometimes struggled to pronounce [name_m]Matteo[/name_m]. they would instead default to ma-tay-to, rhyming with potato. not a huge deal, and it was easily corrected, but I was a bit surprised how often it occurred

I’ve known a couple! I associate it with people who are friendly and sporty.

[name_m]The[/name_m] only [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] I know is legally [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], but he and his family are Latino, and his mom calls him [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] when she speaks Spanish with him. [name_f][/name_f] He’s a sweet kid, respectful, intelligent, a little mischievous, but his whole family is super lovely in general, so. [name_f][/name_f] I don’t know a ton of his interests etc., but he does seem to be musically inclined. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this is somewhat helpful!
