Do you like the name Hardy?

Hello,
do you like the name [name_m]Hardy[/name_m]?

Thank You.

I can appreciate its merits: great meaning, literary pedigree, underused surname name, easy to say and spell, etc. but I’m afraid I can’t get behind this one, personally. It sounds like it might be a slang term for something… I’d steer clear of any name with “hard” in it for that reason, to be honest. But I do see where you’re coming from!

[name_f]Katinka[/name_f] pretty much said everything I was going to. Maybe in the middle spot.

I love names that start with an “H” , but I think it sounds a bit tough about the edges, it also feels more like a last name.

Alternative to [name_m]Hardy[/name_m], is [name_m]Harvey[/name_m].

Other suggestions:
[name_m]Harold[/name_m]
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m]
[name_u]Howard[/name_u]
[name_m]Hanson[/name_m]
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]
[name_m]Harris[/name_m]/ [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Hanley[/name_m]
[name_u]Harley[/name_u]
[name_m]Harvard[/name_m]
[name_m]Harmon[/name_m]

I second [name_m]Harvey[/name_m], or maybe [name_u]Harley[/name_u]

Agree with @katinka. I don’t like [name_m]Hardy[/name_m] much. [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] would be similar, but not a huge fan of that one either. I do like the suggestion of [name_m]Harris[/name_m], though.

Unfortunately I think he’d be teased. I kind of like it, but I just don’t think it’s usable.

I’m not a fan, but something kinda close I do like is [name_m]Huxley[/name_m]!
