Do you like this better for a boy or girl?

I love the name for a boy - I think of the actor [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Freeman[/name] or [name]Derek[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] on Criminal Minds and I picture a real strong man. This name does not appeal to me as a girls’ name at all.

I have known several girl Morgans of all ages and not a single boy [name]Morgan[/name]. It does sound attractive for a boy, but I would never name a boy that because it is considered such a feminine name now.

Boy. I love it for a boy. I do have a female coworker named [name]Morgan[/name], but I love it for a boy.

I like it for a boy… But for some reason think if it were a girl she would have to have dark hair, to me it just doesnt fit a blonde girl.

I’ve only ever heard of [name]Morgan[/name] as a name for a girl… it’d be hard for me to make the switch to boy

I know Morgans of both sexes, and I think it works really well either way. I slightly prefer it for a boy, but only by a bit.

Very few names are truly unisex to me. Most of the time, I have a real preference, and I make an assumption about gender when I see the name print. A few exceptions are [name]Jordan[/name], [name]Morgan[/name], and [name]Quinn[/name]. I guess [name]Quinn[/name] is being abandoned by the parents of boys (or “going to the girls,” depending on how you want to look at it) but to me it sounds very neutral.

I like it a little better for a girl personally, but I think it easily works for both. I think there are some names that are truly unisex, at least now. My husband’s name is [name]Jordan[/name], but he and I have also known girl Jordans, and the name fits them well too. [name]Morgan[/name] sounds similar to me, so I put it in the unisex category also. There are other names that are unisex too, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.
