Do you like this better for a boy or girl?

[name]Morgan[/name]

I used to love it for a girl only. Then I loved it on both. Now I think I love it more for a boy, especially since I have a really good association with two male Morgans.

WDYT?

Can you think of any names that are truly unisex to you? Names that you like equally on both?

Boy. When I hear the name [name]Morgan[/name] I picture a rugged cowboy. There really is nothing about [name]Morgan[/name]'s sound that is feminine. There’s also Agent [name]Morgan[/name] from Criminal Minds.

I love the name [name]Morgan[/name] for a girl. I think it can definitely still work on a boy, though!

To me the name [name]Rory[/name] is totally unisex. Again, I prefer it on a girl, but I think it’s equally acceptable on a boy.

I really love the name for a boy. I seem to hear it more for girls (I live in [name]Canada[/name]), but I definitely prefer it on a boy!

I don’t think I’ve ever met a girl [name]Morgan[/name]. I love it for a boy. Handsome and strong and I’ve met several.

I know it’s used on girls, and that’s fine, but I just prefer it (and have only seen it) on boys.

I know a girl [name]Morgan[/name] & I have bad association with her. I think it works better on a boy. It sounds too masculine for a girl

I personally know one male [name]Morgan[/name] and three female Morgans so for me it could go either way.

Boy! To me [name]Morgan[/name] is all boy. And it’s a fabulous name!

I like it better for a boy, it doesn’t really hit the ear in a very feminine way. But, I might be a little biased there because I know a female [name]Morgan[/name] who earned the unfortunate nickname “Whorgan” so that’s generally what I think when I hear it.

Girl…I only know girls named [name]Morgan[/name]…

I have a female cousin [name]Morgan[/name] and a male cousin [name]Morgan[/name]. I like it better on a boy, but I think that it is a name that is truly unisex in that it doesn’t lean one way or the other overtly. I think that if you were to use it for a girl it would be best to use an established feminine name as a middle name. My Cousin is [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], which suits her very well.

I’ve always loved [name]Morgan[/name] for both genders. While I feel like I should prefer [name]Morgan[/name] on a boy, lately I’ve really been preferring it on a girl.

I actually can see it on both, but prefer it for a boy.

I definitely consider this a truly unisex name, but I do prefer it more on a girl. Not sure why though. I’ve known both male and female Morgans.

I don’t consider many names truly unisex, but the ones I do are [name]Dana[/name], [name]Jamie[/name], [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Jordan[/name] (I’m sure there are a few more but I can’t think of them right now). There are lots of names that have masculine/feminine versions that are very similar though, like [name]Lauren[/name]/[name]Loren[/name], [name]Erin[/name]/[name]Aaron[/name], etc.

BOY, I know a young boy [name]Morgan[/name] and a few girl Morgans. All the girls were annoying.

I think it can definitely work on both- I think it’s one of those names that are truly unisex, like [name]Taylor[/name].

Sorta remember a female [name]Morgan[/name] from school.

There is a [name]Morgan[/name] from “Criminal Minds,” so probably male, since it is a recent connection.

I would probably do [name]Megan[/name] for the girl and [name]Morgan[/name] for the boy, if it was more my style.

[name]Morgan[/name] is very popular where I live and even a wee bit dated-- I first had a student named [name]Morgan[/name] six years ago, and I’ve had at least one a year since then. All of them were girls. [name]One[/name] year I nearly lost my mind because I had [name]Taylor[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] and [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] in the same class. ACK! I just did a quick look at our current student body, and there are 13 Morgans total (all born between '93 and '97) and 11 of them are girls.

As an aside, my mother wanted desperately to name me [name]Morgan[/name], which is her maiden name, but at the time there was a large, burly college football player named [name]Morgan[/name] Our-Last-Name, and she knew that if she gave me the same name, he’d become an NFL superstar and I’d hate her forever. He did not become an NFL superstar, and I would much rather be [name]Morgan[/name] than [name]Melissa[/name] (boohoo).

I know three girls named [name]Morgan[/name]- So I say girl name! (They are 16 and older)

I only know one [name]Morgan[/name], a girl, but I do like it on a boy though which way I prefer it swings back and forth constantly.
