Do you think its weird that i gave my dog a 'middle' name

I have a little black puggle and I named her [name]Lucy[/name] but the name is really popular for dogs. So I gave her a ‘middle’ name lol. [name]Lucy[/name] [name]June[/name]. [name]Do[/name] other people do this?

[name]Hi[/name]!

[name]Lucy[/name] [name]June[/name] is a wonderful first and middle name combination! Other people sure do name their pets or fur-babies using middle names. I know I do!

My Fur-babies names thus far in my family:

[name]Zoey[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name] is 7 and is a long haired Chihuahua

[name]Finley[/name] [name]Diamond[/name] is 6 and is a long haired Chihuahua

[name]Barnaby[/name] [name]Baxter[/name] is 4 and is a Ragdoll cat (He currently lives with my mom)

Skyley Evergreen was a little over the age of 1 when she was tragically taken from our lives forever. She was a Siamese cat.

Warmly,

[name]Sahar[/name]

I’ve met more than one [name]Maggie[/name] [name]May[/name].

Our [name]Maggie[/name] is one of them, but [name]May[/name] is sometimes short foe mayhem lol!

I don’t bother since I never call them by anything except their first name and that’s normally all you can fit on a tag… now if it was something short and cute like [name]Maggie[/name] [name]May[/name] or [name]Sammy[/name] [name]Jo[/name] then I might… however I know people who do give them middle names.

I know quite a few people who give their pets middle names.
Examples -
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Lou[/name]: My cousin [name]Elizabeth[/name]'s pug mix.
Sassy [name]Marie[/name]: My cousin [name]Tori[/name]'s cat.
[name]Copper[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Tyler[/name]: My cousin [name]Logan[/name]'s pug mix (who just so happens to by [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Lou[/name]'s brother).

no, both my dogs have middle names:
Potsy [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Kima[/name] [name]Louise[/name]

No not at all. My first dog (a golden retriever) was Sir. [name]Harley[/name] of Stonemead and my second (a minature pinscer) is [name]Kingston[/name] [name]Charles[/name].
My cats have been [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Anne[/name], [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Hazel[/name], and [name]Heidi[/name] [name]Dot[/name].
My fish are [name]Fred[/name] [name]Winston[/name] Hucleberry [name]Demetrius[/name] and [name]Frida[/name] Lillan [name]Anne[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Elenor[/name].

If you’re weird, my family and I are weird, too. 3 out of 4 of my animals have middle names.

I don’t think it’s wierd at all! Of our pets have had middle names, and with our more recent pets the middle name is the second choice.
A few examples of our pets:

  • [name]Duke[/name] Frankensence
  • [name]Carmel[/name] Pumpkin Cutie (because of her coloring, and because my brother was six)
  • [name]Coco[/name] [name]Chanel[/name]
  • [name]Shasta[/name] [name]Rain[/name]
  • [name]Birdie[/name] [name]Belle[/name]
  • [name]Jemima[/name] “[name]Jem[/name]” [name]Veda[/name] (though my sister insists that her full name is Jemelina)

So I don’t find it odd at all- I think it’s really fun!

My dog has a middle name AND a double barrell surname

Depending on how popular the first name is, it’s almost required for pets to have middle names these days. If you have a dog named [name]Daisy[/name] and take her to the vet, the vets will have about a dozen [name]Daisy[/name]'s in their system already. My father-in-law has a Chihuahua named [name]Coco[/name], and at his vet there are seven other Chihuahuas named [name]Coco[/name], so they requested he give her a middle name (even though the owner’s name goes in the system as well… they just don’t want any mix-ups, I guess).

I have two cats,
[name]Gustavo[/name] Fring “[name]Gus[/name]”
and
[name]Lil[/name] [name]Adelpha[/name]

My [name]Maggie[/name]'s MN is [name]Annette[/name]… Magnet
My first dog was [name]Theresa[/name] [name]Jolene[/name]
My other current dog is [name]Bronson[/name] [name]Teddy[/name]

So yeah- it’s totally weird but lots of people do it!

No…I mean, there’s not really a point to it, is there? You’ll either call her [name]Lucy[/name] or you’ll call her [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Jane[/name], which we could even say is a double-barrel, rather than a first and a middle. My dogs have middle names, but we never use them. [name]Shelby[/name] [name]Von[/name] (poking at her [name]German[/name] background ((they’re both [name]German[/name] shepherds))) and R.J., which stands for [name]Rommel[/name] [name]Junior[/name], after our other dog who passed away.

Nope, not weird! All my pets have had middle names.

Nope, my dog has a middle name too (and a double-barreled surname). She is [name]Pippin[/name] [name]Lucille[/name] Mylastname Husband’slastname. She gets called [name]Pippin[/name], [name]Pippin[/name] [name]Lucille[/name], [name]Pippi[/name], [name]Pippi[/name]-[name]Lu[/name], [name]Pippin[/name] [name]Lulu[/name], [name]Lulu[/name], [name]Lucy[/name]-[name]Lu[/name]…and those are just the nicknames based on her names

This is not weird at all.

My beloved cat was [name]Coco[/name] [name]Chanel[/name].

When you register a dog you usually give three or more names to make them unique.

II have heard of a lot of [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Brown[/name]'s and [name]Maggie[/name] [name]May[/name]'s

I usually give a silly name as the second call name, though

[name]Lucy[/name] Goosey Goo for example haha not naming a baby that!

Tootsie wootsie was another.

Ye i call my dog by his full name 3 hole names

It’s sort of weird, but who cares? Show dogs have really elaborate names, why can’t yours?

I hope it isn’t weird, because my cat actually has two middle names! Making her full name [name]Nadia[/name] [name]Lilith[/name] [name]Caterina[/name]
