Of course! It may not be as obvious as some nns, but I think [name]Declan[/name] nn [name]Dex[/name] works, completely.

We have a 6 yo [name]Declan[/name] and call him [name]Dex[/name] all the time. Hadn’t thought about that prior to naming him but the nn just emerged and it’s stuck.

I think [name]Dex[/name] definitely works, though I prefer the common Irish nn of Deco for [name]Declan[/name], which I think is just adorable.
