[name]Ophelia[/name] has been my favorite name for a long time now, but the only problem is that I can’t seem to come up with a good nickname. The only thing I could think of was Phia, which I like but I don’t love. All of the other names on my list have vintage nicknames and I really want one for [name]Ophelia[/name] too. Any suggestions?
[name]Fifi[/name] and [name]Lia[/name] are the only ones I can think of
There’s also Fi (pronounced [name]Fee[/name]) and I’ve heard of [name]Effie[/name] being used. The french [name]Ophelie[/name] is nice similar to how people use [name]Sophie[/name] as a nickname for [name]Sophia[/name]. Personally I think Ophie is cute but you could probably only use it with a very young child.
Ophie is the one I thought of. I think Lia/Leah and Fifi are both cute too.
In [name]Alan[/name] [name]Bradley[/name]'s [name]Flavia[/name] de [name]Luce[/name] mysteries, the main character’s eldest sister is an [name]Ophelia[/name] nn Feely. I don’t know if it’s the most usable nickname, though.
With the French [name]Ophelie[/name] (accent on the e that follows the h), I’ve heard of “[name]Fay[/name]” used as a nickname. I think just “O” might work (but it could be a little too [name]Oprah[/name]). Maybe O-[name]Lee[/name] or [name]Olia[/name]. Possibly [name]Leelee[/name] or straightforward [name]Lee[/name].

Oh I like [name]Opal[/name] and [name]Effie[/name] a lot! They both fit in great with the other names on my list, plus they’re vintage which is a bonus 
I know a baby named [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and her twin siblings call her “Opey,” like the kid from [name]Andy[/name] [name]Griffith[/name]. I can’t say I think it’s the sweetest sounding nickname, but I guess it sort of pays homage to their NC roots.
[name]Ellie[/name] or [name]Elia[/name] aren’t too far off for me.
