[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
We love the name Prim for our next baby. But does it just scream Hunger Games? Also, can Prim stand alone? Or should it be [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]? What is a good middle name? Thanks!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!

I really like [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. Prim as a standalone name doesn’t appeal to me though.
I remember the Hunger Games series being very popular around 2012 but at this point the hype seems to have disappeared. People who are/were very into the series may associate the name [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] with the character but I doubt your average person would. Your children and their friends will probably be largely unaware of the series.
I know a little [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] nn Prim, never really thought about Hunger Games until this post. I don’t think its significant enough culturally that it would be a problem by the time the little one is old enough to be aware, in my opinion anyway and its such a lovely name
Prim is adorable but I do prefer it as a nickname for [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. I don’t think that the Hunger Games is that strong of an association.
Prim definitely reads very loudly as Hunger Games to me, and in my mind does not make a stand alone name. I have a soft spot for [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] and think it can work as a first, but because of the fandom associations might be a better choice as a middle name.
If you don’t love [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] you shouldn’t use it. I think I would did for another name to get to the nickname Prim.
