I have always loved the name [name_u]Sunny[/name_u].
I think of a bright, happy child and a preppy adult.
I’m afraid of what our families will think. They are very critical of names, and I want to choose something that they like. I also think it may be too much of a pet name. [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be the full name. What do you guys think? If not, the backup name is [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. [name_f]Marie[/name_f] being after my Grandma, and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is after my sister. Thank you!!
Yes, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a person’s name. [name_u]Max[/name_u] sounds like a dog’s name but works for a baby too. I also really love [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]!
Thank you!!
I know a couple of adult, female Sunnys and it suits them just fine! I don’t think of it as a dog’s name. I considered the name [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] nn [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] when I was pregnant and am still drawn to it. [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is darling. I prefer it over [name_f]Geneva[/name_f].
Personally I love [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] and prefer it to [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] as well. I find it like cotton or something fresh from the wash, it has that fresh, innocent, girl next door sound to it.
I think [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] can work at any age, and it doesn’t sound like a dog’s name. A lot of names ([name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_m]Ben[/name_m], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] etc) are used on dogs but they work on humans too! I also like it over [name_f]Geneva[/name_f].
I think it sounds like a dog name, it also makes me think of [name_f]Demi[/name_f] Lovato and [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] with a chance. If it is what you like, it is what you like
My first thought is yes, but then I thought some more.
The youngest child in the Series of Unfortunate Events is named [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], I believe. It could be sweet on a baby or small child, but I can’t imagine it on an adult.
I don’t differentiate between the use of people names for kids or animals. For example, I’d name my dog [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] (one of my all-time top 10 names) or I’d name my child that. Great name!
[name_u]Sunny[/name_u] to me is not much of a name for a dog or a person. No offense meant. It would make a fine nickname and you could name your child anything and have [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] as a pet name (no pun intended!).
I like it as a nickname for [name_u]Allison[/name_u]. [name_u]Allison[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_u]Allison[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] would be cute
