So I am still trying to 100% decide what name I want when I have no.4… I think I am pretty sold on [name]Chester[/name], and Dh likes it too, but [name]Dexter[/name] has also got me thinking lately…I always kinda thought it was a new ‘trendy’ name which i am not really into, but it seems like it might be an older name. I love old-man style names, but ones that are ‘friendly’ sounding, and not too hard to pull off!!!
My wee men are [name]Archie[/name] and [name]Rupert[/name] - which one do you think goes with the style of these the best?
THe other names on my list have been
[name]August[/name] (nn [name]Gus[/name]) - my absolute fav, but I have 2 kids with ‘A’ names now and dont want to have another…

[name]Milo[/name] (if it wasnt a drink here I would have convinced dh)

I think [name]Chester[/name] works really well with [name]Archie[/name] and [name]Rupert[/name]! I absolutely love [name]August[/name] but if you’re put off by the "A"s then it might not be best for you. I think [name]August[/name] nn [name]Gus[/name] fits perfectly, though! [name]Milo[/name] fits in really well, too. I really love [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Henry[/name], but they seem a bit different stylistically, to me.
If [name]August[/name] nn [name]Gus[/name] is out for you, then [name]Chester[/name] is definitely the best, imo! But [name]August[/name] would definitely be my favorite otherwise.
I think all your names are great except [name]Chester[/name]. Sorry, it reminds me of [name]Chester[/name] the Molester. [name]August[/name] is my favorite from your list. It is perfect with your other names.
I know little brothers names [name]Archer[/name] and [name]Dexter[/name] “[name]Archie[/name] and [name]Dex[/name]” so its [name]Rupert[/name] that is throwing me off because the first two are pretty trendy in the UK ([name]Archie[/name] rose rapidly to the top 20 and [name]Dexter[/name] has skyrocketed into the top 100). Whereas [name]Rupert[/name] is old fashioned but super cute.
I do see [name]Archie[/name], [name]Rupert[/name] and [name]Dexter[/name] working really but I do think [name]Dexter[/name] is a little trendy right now.
[name]Archie[/name], [name]Rupert[/name] and [name]Chester[/name] sounds lovely though, and I think I prefer this sibset.
From the rest of your list I love [name]August[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Milo[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] (all of them lol) but none of them fit as well as [name]Chester[/name].

boyandgirl - can I ask why it reminds you of molesterer??? i know it kinda rhymes (sort of) but is that it? or was there a person who this name was applied to?? tbh i dont even slightly think of that (obviously or it wouldnt be on my list - lol) so I am wondering what makes you think of it…
sheflies - am pleased you like my list - i didnt realise [name]Dexter[/name] was quite that popular - I live downunder and don’t know of anyone with the name, but thank you as we definitely follow uk naming trends in my city…I do like [name]Stanley[/name] - and [name]Oscar[/name] but that one is just way too popular here. I like [name]Theodore[/name] too but dh ‘no-ed’ that one too… thanks heaps for your suggestions…
