I we have another daughter, we’re pretty set to name her [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (possibly [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f], but probably [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]) and we have a few middles we’re kicking around. Recently though, I’ve totally fallen in love with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]! I’d love to use it as a middle for [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but worry it will not sound good with our last name, [name_m]Webster[/name_m].
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m]. Not sure how that gels. I’m sad because [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is such a sweet name and would honor all the [name_m]Williams[/name_m] in my family. Any opinions or advice? I don’t like Wilhemina.
I think [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] would work well, but not just [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I do prefer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] in your signature over [name_f]Willa[/name_f], though.
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f] is GORGEOUS, by the way!
I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m] sounds wonderful. Also, your daughter’s name is [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f], which is an alliteration, so I think it’d be cute for your other daughter to have and alliterative name as well… It may cause problems in the future if you feel like you’ll have to continue that rule, but let tomorrow worry about itself for now
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is one of the best sibsets I’ve ever heard

Thank you! Surprisingly few people have loved [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f]. I’m so happy to hear you say that, its a very special name to me.
Thamk you! I’m so happy you love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] as a sibset And I’m happy to hear you don’t see [name_f]Willa[/name_f] as an issue with our surname Honestly, very rarely is the whole name said or written out anyway.
I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is gorgeous!
Thanks for all the replies so far. Would anyone else like to weigh in? I’m not concerned so much about [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] sounding nice as a combo, rather, I’m worried about the repeated W sounds in [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m].
I think it sounds fine!
I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and I don’t think [name_m]Webster[/name_m] is a problem. It sounds good to me!
I think it’s gorgeous and fits perfectly with your daughter’s name!
Maybe, instead of [name_f]Willa[/name_f], a longer name? I found [name_f]Willia[/name_f] and [name_f]Willetta[/name_f]! You could also use a name that’s like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] but with a different first letter ([name_f]Lilla[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lillia[/name_f]!), [name_f]Milla[/name_f], or [name_f]Tilla[/name_f])
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I think that alliterative names are a bit of a love/hate proposition. I like them – especially when they are first/middle or middle/last combos. You have TWO here, what a treat!
My only hesitation about [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m] is that it could be a bit of a tongue twister, and it could come out something like Woah-salie [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m], or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Rilla[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m], etc. That’s pretty nitpicky, but I’ll throw it out there for you to consider. In answer to your question though, no, I don’t think the combo sounds stupid.
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f] is GORGEOUS, BTW.
I think it sounds fine, and remember: nobody is going to refer to her by her full name on a day-to-day basis. You won’t yell “[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m]!” up the stairs, the nursery will know her as [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and the school will know [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m]. And eventually, she might marry and take a new surname anyway. I think if you like it, and it has significance, go for it!
Its a pretty combo (two of my favourite names!) and it fits really nicely with [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f]
If it’s a concern, you could throw another middle name in there (I’d recommend a short, one syllable name to balance)
For example:
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m]
loses that alliteration
Good luck!
wow isobel and rosalie, SWOON. we have the same taste clearly. i think rosalie willa webster is really nice! her sister also has two names starting with the same sound (i and y), so i don’t see why not rww.
i know a little girl named mina and it’s such a cute name, also from whilelmina. rosalie mina webster is pretty cute if you’re into that.
I actually really like it! I love names that flow like this.
My name, since being married, has had this same flow. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f], last name pronounced like [name_u]Bay[/name_u]-lean.
Also, the boy name we have fallen in love with is [name_u]Lakota[/name_u] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] with our last name pronounced like [name_u]Bay[/name_u]-lean.
I think it’s fun, and perfectly whimsical. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m] is so sweet.
P.S. Definitely jealous that you’re able to use this name! It is unusable for me due to my step-grandmother holding the name, and we don’t name after living relatives.
I think it sounds gorgeous. Most of the time I’m not fond of alliteration, but it’s wonderful in this case!
I really like it! I normally do not like when FN and MN or MN and LN share the same starting letter, but I think it really works here. The flow is great!
I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m] is great! (And also goes so well with [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f], btw!) I think it’s a winner.
I think [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_m]Webster[/name_m] is absolutely fine, sounds fabulous in fact.
