Does using the name BELLA put too much expecation on a girl?

Since we need a “B” middle name the name [name]Bella[/name] keeps coming up. Especially since we are naming for [name]Bonnie[/name] which mean beautiful.

I just worry that even using a middle name [name]Bella[/name] puts alot of pressure on a little girl/ young lady. I remember a [name]Bella[/name] growing up that was anything but and got made fun of all the time. On the other hand the name has a history for me since I spent 6 month living in [name]Italy[/name] 17 years ago with my 2 best friends and to this day call each other the 3 Bellas and refer to each other as [name]Bella[/name]. Am I making too much of it? Would love some thoughts…

I don’t think it’s too much pressure. (Naming her Beauty definitely would, and I’m not kidding when I say I saw that name last week. Awful.) Anyway, if it really worries you, you could always give her a longer name such as [name]Isabel[/name]/la, [name]Arabella[/name], or [name]Gabriella[/name] and use it as her nickname. It may be super-popular right now because of Twilight, but it’s still a cute name.

[name]Alexis[/name]

[name]Bella[/name] is a lovely name. Most names have significant or even grand meanings so I wouldnt worry.

I never thought of that but is quite true! The other 'B" name we are considering is [name]Bridget[/name] which means powerful/strong which I love. I am still not 100% sure but all your comments make me feel better…
