Absolutely not, I would never think of that
No way-- it’s good as [name_f]Violet[/name_f]!
I don’t think so. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a well-known and popular name. I don’t think anyone is going to misinterpret it as “violent”.
I agree with @adelina_sophia. I really want to like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but it’s too similar to the word violent for my liking.
Thanks for all the input! It’s interesting and helpful to see that it’s almost entirely agreed that I’m overthinking haha. And those that do hear violent don’t think so more or less because of the last name. Thanks for the help!
I think hearing Violent depends more on your accent and how hard you enunciate the last syllable. I think certain people will say it more closely to violent than others. Personally I say [name_f]Violet[/name_f] more like Vy-lette, and Violent more line Vy-LINT, with a heavy emphasis on the -INT so they do not sound similar to me at all. My DH says violent with 3 syllables and says the O. So think this is more of a regional accent thing than a last name thing.
