Hehe, I voted for [name]Doris[/name], [name]Trudy[/name], and [name]Lois[/name]. When I think of these names I think “spunky” and “understated”.

I voted for [name]Mavis[/name] (one of my favorites), [name]Trudy[/name] (it’s really been growing on me even though I hate [name]Gertrude[/name]) and [name]Lenore[/name] (love the [name]Poe[/name] connection).

So true! I never really liked [name]Trudy[/name] before but it’s grown on me since I watched “Monk”.
Not to mention, “The [name]Raven[/name]” film recently arrived in theaters. So this may bump [name]Poe[/name]-related names up.

I voted for [name]Lenore[/name] - I love the nicknames [name]Leni[/name] and [name]Nora[/name]! I like the other names on principle but can’t quite get past the old lady associations

I voted [name]Doris[/name], [name]Eileen[/name] and [name]Lois[/name]. All fabulous, underused names.

I adore [name]Lois[/name], and also like [name]Lenore[/name] (prefer [name]Lenora[/name]/[name]Leonora[/name]).

[name]Love[/name] [name]Mavis[/name], [name]Lenore[/name], and [name]Eileen[/name] (a variant of my middle name, [name]Aileen[/name]).

1 [name]Mavis[/name]
2 [name]Eileen[/name]
3 [name]Trudy[/name]
4 [name]Lenore[/name]
5 [name]Elvy[/name]

I love [name]Lois[/name], its been growing on me lately

I love [name]Lenora[/name] and [name]Lois[/name]! [name]Mavis[/name] is sweet too, but prefer just [name]Maeve[/name].

These are some names that don’t get asked about much on here. Some of them sound not quite vintage, yet pre-baby boomer era.

[name]Eileen[/name] - this is my favorite of them. It’s the only one I really like. I’d like to see a little [name]Eileen[/name] now and again.
[name]Lenore[/name] - I like the sound of [name]Lenora[/name] or [name]Leonora[/name] better.
[name]Doreen[/name] - this is okay.
[name]Mavis[/name], [name]Lois[/name] and [name]Trudy[/name], - not a fan.

Forgot [name]Elvy[/name] - could make a cute nickname for something. [name]Elva[/name], or [name]Elvira[/name] (don’t really like those names though).

[name]Elvy[/name], but I prefer [name]Elfie[/name].
Second choice would be [name]Trudy[/name] or [name]Lois[/name].

I am not a fan of [name]Doris[/name], [name]Doreen[/name], or [name]Mavis[/name], but I have always thought that [name]Trudy[/name] and [name]Lois[/name] are spunky. Too bad that [name]Trudy[/name] isn’t short for anything else other than [name]Gertrude[/name]! Yuck!
I voted for [name]Eileen[/name] and [name]Lenore[/name], as they seem to be the most useable and I have always thought they sounded pretty.

So pleased to see all the love for [name]Lenore[/name]!

[name]How[/name] do you feel about [name]Doreen[/name]? I like her more than [name]Dora[/name].

rollo

I voted for [name]Lenore[/name]. Everything else was too old and clunky for me.

I like [name]Doreen[/name] least, to be honest. I voted for [name]Mavis[/name], because it has echoes of [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Mabel[/name], which I kind of love. Sorry, I can’t get on board with any of the rest of them, though - they are all the names of my mum’s friends (60-something women).

[name]Lenore[/name], [name]Eileen[/name], and [name]Elvy[/name] are my favourites from this list!

[name]Lenore[/name] is the only name on this list that I really like. I love the sound of it and its literary association ([name]Edgar[/name] [name]Allen[/name] [name]Poe[/name]).

[name]Lenore[/name] is one of my favourite names & I love [name]Lois[/name], so cute… and [name]Eileen[/name] because… Come On [name]Eileen[/name] (sorry I had to) haha but I do think it’s a sweet name too
