Double name?

Is it possible to use a double name and it not sound too [name_u]Southern[/name_u]?

I’ve been loving [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] but I’m not sure if it sounds too southern? Also our last name is [name_m]Watts[/name_m] if it’s too many a sounds?

I think it’s cute. I guess it could have a little southern vibe, but it doesn’t scream southern to me.

unfortunately, I feel like most double firsts sound southern. Clara Kate isn’t super southern, but it still definitely has that vibe. I’d put Kate in the middle instead

It’s funny because I think the practice of double barrels seems very southern US to me, but my first thought was [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] which makes me think [name_u]New[/name_u] England…

I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is cute but not cutesy, so a person could grow with it. Reminds me of a kid I saw on a tv show once called [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Cat[/name_f]. And I think given that your last name is short, it works well.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] isn’t too southern or cutesy and works well enough with your surname.
There are double barrel names that don’t give me a southern feel like Amy-Lee.
Also, know a girl named Aimee-Kate and she doesn’t have a southern vibe about her at all.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is sweet and fresh.

If you’re willing to have a longer name, you could use [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]! That way if she doesn’t like using her full name she could use C.C. I also think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] or C.J. is really cute. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is really cute too!

Reminds me of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] which doesn’t feel southern. Probably double names in the US will come across as southern or county to most people. Don’t know if theres any getting around it. :woman_shrugging:
