After much back and forth, we have looped back to a few family names as the leading options for our second son. Older brother is [name_m]Harris[/name_m], also a family name. Last name starts with Mc. Wondering what your preference is between the following:
Definitely [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] doesn’t flow very well because both names are 1 syllable with the same ‘ay’ sound. If you choose this, I would suggest [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] nn [name_u]Grey[/name_u].
MUCH prefer [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]!
Sounds great with [name_m]Harris[/name_m] and is just more attractive than [name_u]Gray[/name_u] [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
I like [name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] best. The flow isn’t the best but I like [name_u]Grey[/name_u] better then [name_m]Winston[/name_m]. Although [name_u]Win[/name_u] is kind of a cool nn. Either way I don’t think you can go wrong.
I prefer [name_u]Grey[/name_u]/[name_u]Gray[/name_u] over [name_m]Winston[/name_m]. I only know pets named [name_m]Winston[/name_m] and have never met a person named [name_m]Winston[/name_m], so the association is very strong. I would love to meet some people named [name_m]Winston[/name_m] though to change that. I think [name_m]Winston[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds better than [name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. The 2, 1 syllable count sounds better to my ears than the 1, 1 syllable count. I have [name_u]Gray[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] on my short list and Everett Gray is our third favorite name. The [name_u]Gray[/name_u] spelling to honor my mom, [name_u]Gay[/name_u], but I like both spellings.
Have you considered [name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_u]Jamison[/name_u]?
[name_m]Winston[/name_m] is a very handsome and distinguished name with a wonderful namesake ([name_m]Churchill[/name_m]). [name_m]Harris[/name_m] and [name_m]Winston[/name_m] would be an awesome brother duo. I think [name_u]Grey[/name_u] works better in the middle spot not as a first name.
[name_u]Grey[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] doesn’t have the best flow, even if I like [name_u]Grey[/name_u]. [name_m]Winston[/name_m] get my vote. It sounds great with [name_m]Harris[/name_m].
