Due in 2 weeks, Lou Rosemary?

I love [name_u]Lou[/name_u]! She could be formally Louise/Louisa if you’re worried about gender neutral. [name_f]My[/name_f] neighbors little girl is [name_f]Lua[/name_f] (pronounced Loo-a) and I just love her name.

Thank you to everyone! We did it. I loved [name_f]Lua[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] too. And we debated hard about going [name_u]Louise[/name_u] “Lou”. But in the end it was always [name_u]Lou[/name_u] for us. Thanks for the votes of confidence. We sure do love it so far despite some strange looks (which we got with [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] too—but only in the beginning).

I absolutely love [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]! Goes great with her sisters’ names!

Congratulations! Perfect name for her

[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: lol just saw your update that baby has been named! Please disregard the rest of my comment.

[name_u]Lou[/name_u] on it’s own reads more masculine to me but only because I know or know of more men who go by [name_u]Lou[/name_u] than I do women (Lou [name_u]Reed[/name_u], for example.) However my feeling is that it’s neutral given it’s a diminutive of any [name_u]Lou[/name_u]- name.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] feels more in line with [name_u]Holly[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], but [name_u]Holly[/name_u], [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is very sweet too! And I do think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] works nicely for the middle.
A part of me feels like a longer form would be better here and then using all those sweet nicknames with it, since neither [name_u]Holly[/name_u] or [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] are diminutives, but that’s personal preference.
Louisa/Louise or even [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] would just feel a bit more complete to me, but again that is purely preference.

Congrats and I love her name!!

Perfection!!! Such spunky names.
