[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone - we have it narrowed down to three candidates: [name_m]Julian[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], or [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. Would love to hear any thoughts about these options - we are agonizing!
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] is significant for us because [name_f]July[/name_f] will be his birth month, and because a very significant family event occurred in [name_f]July[/name_f] that we want to commemorate in a special way. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] would probably be our favorite, but for the fact that our last name rhymes with [name_m]Barron[/name_m]. So it would be [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Barron[/name_m]. Does that repeating -n sound strange?
[name_m]Miles[/name_m] is on the list because both of his paternal grandfathers and great-grandfathers had names beginning with M, and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] is the only M name we have both been able to agree on so far.
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] is a dark horse candidate - no particular significance, but I love that it would fit equally on a bookish little boy and a football player.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] them all! In order, I like [name_m]Julian[/name_m], then [name_u]Everett[/name_u], then [name_m]Miles[/name_m].
But with your last name, I absolutely adore [name_m]Miles[/name_m]! [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Barron[/name_m] would be a great name.
Definitely [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. I think the double n ending is okay, especially as they have a different number of syllables. I love [name_m]Julian[/name_m], and it has loads of significance for you as well. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] would be my second choice.
I think [name_m]Julian[/name_m] sounds fine with your last name. The only time i dislike repeated endings is if the names have the same # of syllables too, bc it ends up sounds too sing-songy.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a middle? [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Miles[/name_m] both work…
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Barron[/name_m] is nice. If the n n bugs you [name_m]Julius[/name_m] is nice too [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Barron[/name_m] is equally as good.
I actually dislike [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. I just don’t like the way it sounds. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is my first pick, and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] is my second. [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Barron[/name_m] is very handsome!
the two “nn” sounds aren’t as jarring to me as the double “r” sounds that you would get with [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Barron[/name_m]. So I like [name_m]Julian[/name_m], especially if it is the most special!
