Due in three weeks, please help!

I have a very large, close family with a lot of girls in it under the age of four. I am expecting a girl within the next few weeks and I still feel like I have not found her name. The problem is, most of the names I have liked for years are already in use in my family. These include:

Others that I like but my husband does not include:

And finally names that I like and can’t use for other reasons:

[name]Lena[/name] (PN lay-nuh)

I am looking for suggestions… I really like the name [name]Isabella[/name], despite its being super popular (and I liked it way before Twilight came out). I know I have thrown out a lot of names but I am one of those who has been making name lists for years and years, so please understand my obsession to find the perfect name. Her middle name will be [name]Marie[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name], depending on the first name.

[name]Just[/name] or kicks, these are the ones my husband and I currently agree on:

Ok… I feel like there are no names left! If anyone has any suggestions, please do respond!!!

I like [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Colette[/name] & [name]Elise[/name].

What about:
[name]Elena[/name] (similar to [name]Lena[/name], but also a bit classier!)

I really like the flow and sound of [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name] !

I dont like the spelling [name]Zoey[/name] for these reasons:

  • She will have to be telling people Its [name]Zoe[/name] with a Y her whole life.
  • [name]Zoe[/name] looks so much prettier and simple!
  • [name]Zoey[/name] looks more trendy and makes me think of [name]Zoey[/name] 101

[name]Elena[/name] [name]Colette[/name] [name]Marie[/name] would be perfect if you like it!
Nicknames could be [name]Elle[/name] or [name]Lena[/name].

Good luck!

Here are some names I love that you may like:

I hope this helps!

[name]Do[/name] you like any other “bella” names? Or does that still feel too close to your other family member’s name?
[name]Arabella[/name] (or [name]Arabelle[/name])

Now for the names you and DH agree on:
[name]Amelia[/name] - I love this. It’s popular, but I have heard people here say they feel it’s kinda localized…many don’t know [name]Amelia[/name]'s personally, but many know 4 or 5!
[name]Olivia[/name]- Also quite popular, but a great name. You can’t go wrong with it
[name]Zoey[/name] - I’m not a fan of this name, but I think it’s popular enough that you can’t go wrong picking it
[name]Ashlyn[/name] - seems pretty trendy and not the type of name that ages well
[name]Colette[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] THIS! It’s underused in my opinion. I knew a colette growing up. She was sweet and everyone seemed to like her name.
[name]Elise[/name]- a very sweet name. It doesn’t thrill me personally though. I just think of it as “sweet”

You might also like (I feel these are kinda simple, yet classic names like [name]Katelyn[/name], [name]Emily[/name], and [name]Natalie[/name]):

[b]Sell him on [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name], it sounds gorgeous. I’m all about flow and the rest don’t do it for me. If you can’t sell him on it maybe you’d like any of the below?

[name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name]

Thank you guys

I like:

[name]Elizabelle[/name] combines two of my favorite names, and I like [name]Aurelia[/name] nn [name]Rory[/name]. The others are classic and pretty  It is great to get feedback… generally my husband either doesn’t like a name or says it’s ok, haha.

Congrats! I’m from a big, close family too so I feel your pain. My favorite from the list you and your husband agree on is [name]Amelia[/name] (you could also spell it [name]Emilia[/name], which is my favorite spelling). I think it’s gorgeous, classic and is not epidemically popular. It has lots of nicknames to choose from- [name]Milly[/name], [name]Mia[/name], [name]Lia[/name], [name]Em[/name]/[name]Emmy[/name]. There are lots of other pretty “[name]Bella[/name]” names, but I would stick to “[name]Belle[/name]” names to not get too close to [name]Isabella[/name]. For example, [name]Mirabella[/name] and [name]Annabella[/name] would be close to [name]Isabella[/name] for me, but I think [name]Mirabelle[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name] are okay. I’m also a big fan of [name]Mabel[/name] (or you can spell it [name]Maebelle[/name] which I think has a sweet southern charm to it). I loved the suggestion of [name]Elizabelle[/name]. [name]Elizabelle[/name] [name]Marie[/name] would be a wonderful name. [name]Mabel[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name] would be very sweet as well. Im also a big fan of Rosabel- Rosabel [name]Marie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or Rosabel [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name] would be lovely.

I love the nickname [name]Rory[/name], and I noticed you like [name]Aurelia[/name], but I’m wondering if you’d like [name]Aurora[/name]. [name]Aurora[/name] is a more direct way to get the nickname [name]Rory[/name], and it has a flowy feminine sound, like [name]Isabella[/name]. [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marie[/name]. Another recent way to get the nickname is from the name [name]Lorelei[/name] (thanks to the TV show, [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls). [name]Lorelei[/name] is one of my personal favorites. It’s strong but feminine, spunky but subdued.

I’m not going to suggest a whole lot of names, since it seems you’ve been through a lot of them. But based on a few of the names you listed, it seems like you like feminine, pretty, possibly nick-namable girls names that are familiar and not too out there. A few names come to mind. The first is [name]Camilla[/name]. It’s pretty and sleek, a bit vintage but also a bit exotic. It has two wonderful nickname possibilities- [name]Cami[/name] and [name]Milly[/name]- one is more modern, the other more dated. The second name that comes to mind is [name]Juliana[/name]. It bears a lot of resemblance to [name]Isabella[/name]- both have an Italian/Spanish feel ([name]Guiliana[/name] is heard in [name]Italy[/name] often) and are very girly and a bit ornate. [name]Juliana[/name] has pretty nicknames- [name]Julie[/name], [name]Jules[/name], [name]Lia[/name], [name]Ana[/name], etc. It’s less popular than [name]Julia[/name], though more popular than [name]Juliet[/name] (which I don’t find as graceful as [name]Juliana[/name]). A few other names you might like: [name]Estelle[/name]/[name]Estella[/name]/[name]Stella[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Carolina[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Ivy[/name].

I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions

I like [name]Ashlyn[/name], [name]Colette[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]. Here’s some other suggestions - sorry for repeats.

I am partial to the name [name]Elise[/name] ([name]Elyse[/name]). It is my daughter’s name…her MN is [name]Ariana[/name]. And I just love it. Good luck!!!
