Due soon - need to narrow down on names

hey y’all! i posted for some inspiration on my baby #3’s name a little bit ago, and it’s helped me narrow down, but i need to find that perfect name!
my first son is [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] Corrigan, and I have a daughter named Beneson [name_u]Briley[/name_u] Corrigan.
we’ve gotten done to the following choices:
for a girl, [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] Corrigan, [name_u]Scout[/name_u] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] Corrigan or [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] Corrigan.
for a boy, [name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] Corrigan, [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Zac[/name_m] Corrigan, or [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] Corrigan.

i appreciate any input and any fine tuning or suggestions if you have any.

For a girl I like [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] the best and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] for a boy. GL

Great choices!

I like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] Corrigan
and I love [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] Corrigan
And for the boy:
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m]

Let’s see…
[name_m]Son[/name_m]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] Corrigan ‘WZC’
Daughter
Beneson [name_u]Briley[/name_u] Corrigan ‘BBC’

( so both children have fairly modern 2 -3 syllable names with strong sounds and your daughters name is safely unisex, they’re middle names are 2 syllables? and 3 syllables ending in the same sound I think I’m not clear on exact pronunciation of your daughters middle name, I quite like both their names)
For your third child…
Second daughter:
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] Corrigan - I like this, single syllable but different initial for first name than any used already., middle starts with same letter as daughters but has different ending akin to the second syllable sound in the sons middle… This could be perfect if you love it. Its also safely unisex.
[name_u]Scout[/name_u] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] Corrigan - I think I like this best of your combinations - unisex but the to kill a mocking bird references makes it a good girls name. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is unisex too but leaning more toward girls these days. Middle is 2 syllables ending in the same sound as the others middles. I think this would be perfect but be aware scout and [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] end with the same sound and you might find you dislike that.
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] Corrigan. - this is also too, safely unisex, safely for girls as well, [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is 2 syllables and doesn’t share sounds with your other children’s first names though ending in y reminds me of their middle names a bit.
If I had to make a name from your choice without seeing your combinations I would choose
[name_u]Sloan[/name_u] [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as I feel it is the best fit sibling wise and I like it
Or second son:
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] Corrigan- [name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is the name of a prominent male character in the series [name_f]Buffy[/name_f] the vampire slayer, its a solidly unisex name where in your sons name is solidly masculine, [name_u]Riley[/name_u] based on your other names I would say could make a great middle name but I don’t see it as a first for you.
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Zac[/name_m] Corrigan - I like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] I think it fits in very well and us solidly male, does end in y Like your other middle names however which makes me think its not perfect but could be a perfect! Middle, I however would not use [name_m]Zac[/name_m] as your other sons middle is [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] and I dislike reusing names :-/
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] Corrigan- this is my favorite of your combinations but I have 2 issues with it for your family,1 your sons would share initials WZC and 2 [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] ends in y… Like I’ve said both your other kids middles do,… I would switch it
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Corrigan is perfect, middle name is different but same ending, first name fits well with [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] andBenesen and the boys initials would be switched which is adorable and cool too! I think my choice for you for a boy would be either
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] or
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Finnley[/name_m]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps  I won’t suggest names because this is your final thoughts

this does help a lot! i’ve been getting input such as rory sounds too close to corrigan? but sloane rory is beautiful. also how do you feel about finn wesley?

 glad it helps. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is great  I actually thought I had added that too, yes definitly [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is a perfect middle name in that its both a great name with a good flow and it goes well with your older children’s middle names, [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is similar to [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] in that it ends in double letters and has a very similar feel. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] or even [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] honestly could work really well

The only thing I think might be an issue for [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is if it rhymes with your daughters name? I’m not 100% sure I’m saying it correctly. I had a second idea for your girls name actually too. I do think you can probably get away with [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Rory[/name_u] or [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] or [name_u]Sloan[/name_u] [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] even, or since your daughter had double innitials BB it could be cute to do that again with SS or RR might be softer, obviously [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] won’t work  and like you said [name_u]Rory[/name_u] probably shouldn’t be a first name with your last name but something like [name_m]Rune[/name_m] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] could be sort of a theme  ( sorry for adding suggestions :-/ )

no i encourage suggestions!! both kids were named due to family traditions so we’re really struggling on how to name baby 3. her name is ben-uh-sin? is it too close to finn? because i’m really loving finn wesley  i’ll look into some r names to play with riley as a middle name too! but is it too close to briley, my daughters mn?

[name_m]Ben[/name_m]-uh-sin is how I was pronouncing it horray! I do think -sin and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] are very very similar, you might get the mom I thought you were calling me thing more often than not. [name_m]Zane[/name_m] has the n but is such a different sound. I think [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is basically the same as Your first daughters middle and it would kind of have to be intentional to use as a sequential middle, hence my you could do rr and have a similar initial theme and middle, but that may or may not be ideal either, just thoughts  [name_u]Ripley[/name_u] is different enough from Them though that if you went a route like that but wanted more difference that it could be an alternative if you likes it… Naming is a tough thing, usually people like certain sounds and once you’ve used them you’ve got to kind of look around outside of your comfort zone. We have a list a names to use if we have more and recently just went over it and crossed a lot out and wrote down a few new ideas just kind of thinking that well we liked some more than others and some were so similar we could never use them together :-/ people also tend more toward certain letters, like you seem to be more toward S & R for girl names this time and have opened up
Perhaps to F for a boy? That’s not to say you don’t like others just that’s what it seems like. I will see if I can come up with anything if you’re still open to suggestions… That said I think [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] & [name_m]Zane[/name_m] are still your best  do you feel like you want to keep looking at shorter 1-2 syllable names?

I do like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Riley[/name_u] a lot but I’m definitely open to exploring more of the SS and RR ideas  i do like the 1-2, i think those compliment [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] and Beneson more. It’s really hard to come up with names we both like, I didn’t think it’d be this tough!! haha, but thank you so much.

And I’d like to look for names that could work with the middle name [name_m]Wesley[/name_m].

I’ve also been thinking of throwing in a family name, since both older kids have family names? [name_f]My[/name_f] sister’s name is [name_u]Scout[/name_u] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], and I looove [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] (not sure how [name_m]Zac[/name_m] will feel though…) but how do y’all (if anyone else is reading thisss) feel about [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] (/Bryer)?

Ok… Had to go change a diaper
So her are my suggestions
If you love love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] perhaps [name_u]Finley[/name_u] is your middle? And could it be unisex? Definitly for a boy and maybe for a girl… If not … Then what do you think of [name_u]Romy[/name_u] or [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] or [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] or [name_u]Story[/name_u] for a girl middle?
For first names …
Girl:
[name_f]Raina[/name_f] various spelling options
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Sparrow[/name_f]
They aren’t super similar to your other 2 kids but they have different sounds you haven’t used yet  and I think go well…
[name_m]Zeb[/name_m] & zed are similar to [name_m]Zane[/name_m]
[name_m]Kole[/name_m] is also similar to [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] in the same way as [name_m]Zane[/name_m] is

I think
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] is absolutely stunning  if you have family names for your older children its a wonderful idea to include one for your other child! I think basically any strong 1 syllable name that goes with [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] will go with [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] as middle. [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] is probably top 3 -y names for me so I think use it

[name_u]Story[/name_u] is beautiful, my husband suggested in early stages but we lost it along the way. [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Corrigan? [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_u]Finley[/name_u] Corrigan?
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Story[/name_u]? [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f] [name_u]Story[/name_u], I definitely like, but I know he won’t lol. [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Story[/name_u] Corrigan is the one I most attracted to right now.

Also, I like [name_f]Petrova[/name_f] for a girl but it may be a little too out there especially paired with the others. I like [name_m]Cole[/name_m] a lot.

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], Beneson [name_u]Briley[/name_u] & [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m].
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], Beneson [name_u]Briley[/name_u] & [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Story[/name_u].

?

Or [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] which I still need to run by [name_m]Zac[/name_m] for approval.

[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Story[/name_u] I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] I also really like so that’s a tough one, but I would say both are really good for different reasons I think [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] means warrior and lisette Means God is my oath  both are good meanings too! [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] has a similar meaning to [name_u]Sloan[/name_u] and is Benesen a surname? Scottish? Let’s see… [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Corrigan is adorable but for [name_m]Cole[/name_m] Corrigan I worry is Co Co ? I thought it would be so perfect but that’s my only concern… [name_m]Hence[/name_m] why I was thinking maybe with a K?
[name_m]Kole[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Corrigan
Or
[name_m]Kohl[/name_m] [name_m]Westley[/name_m] Corrigan?
But think [name_m]Cole[/name_m] Corrigan sounds great just looks a bit matchy if that makes sense., I also really think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] Corrigan, [name_u]Theo[/name_u] means God… and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] keeps popping into my head but I’m not sure that’s your style

Or [name_m]Eli[/name_m]? Maybe

It is co co :((( i don’t like it with a k though. [name_m]Zac[/name_m] loooooves [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_u]Finley[/name_u] Corrigan. Chole? :expressionless:

[name_m]Both[/name_m] Beneson and [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] are English (at least for us… they do kind of both sound scottish…oops)

I’m going to have to see how Z feels about [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] I asked [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] (he’s eighteen) about it and he said it sounded like an old lady, but i think it’s too cute.

[name_m]Eli[/name_m] doesn’t go well with -y names though, does it? [name_m]Eli[/name_m] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is cute though.

For a girl i love [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. I really like [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] or even [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Scout[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Rory[/name_u] sounds fine with your last name.

Yea [name_m]Eli[/name_m] would have to be with a different style middle like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] wouldn’t do [name_m]Cole[/name_m] as chole since so close to [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]… [name_f]My[/name_f] husband dislikes [name_m]Kole[/name_m] too. [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is great but not [name_m]Kole[/name_m] lol, we also Like [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] … What about
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] [name_u]Finley[/name_u] Corrigan ? Masks the coco thing  and gives you [name_m]Cole[/name_m] & [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and is 2 non match names. There’s always [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] if no one can get on board with [name_f]Lisette[/name_f]?
