I love these! I’ve always loved the popular names in Europe, haha. My favorites of the most popular ones are [name]Eva[/name], [name]Tess[/name], and [name]Olivia[/name]/[name]Liv[/name]. I love the mixture of style–so international, so timeless and gorgeous and lush, but they distinctly feel “Dutch”, but a lot of them aren’t originally. Very interesting!
I love the Dutch naming style! I love how so many of the names are short but still make a big statement. This list is so diverse!
There are too many that I like or think are interesting to really make a list of all of them. I’ve been really liking names that end in P lately, so I’m glad to see a few of those on this list - Zeynep, [name]Pip[/name], Fiep, Jip, Wiep. I love [name]Beau[/name] on a girl, so it’s interesting to see that get quite a few uses (40), and interesting to see that just [name]Beau[/name] was slightly more well-used than [name]Isabeau[/name]. I’m really intrigued by [name]Fee[/name] as a full name. It’s cute, but I wonder how it will age. It makes me think of the show So Weird, but I don’t know if that show ever got to The Netherlands.
@nono: Zeynep is predominanty used by Turkish families, Jip is a famous (boy!) character in a Dutch children’s book by [name]Annie[/name] M.G Schmidt. [name]Fee[/name] means fairy in Dutch, and is prn as [name]Fay[/name], and therefore a Dutch version of that name I don’t know the show you mentioned, but i agree that i too doubt that [name]Fee[/name] is a name that ages well
