I like it on a girl. I consider it a unisex name with a definite masculine vibe.
I also like [name]Jordan[/name] on a girl.
Personally I prefer [name]Dylan[/name] for a boy.
But me and my sisters have unisex/masculine names ([name]Jamie[/name], [name]Alexis[/name], [name]Christian[/name]). I think [name]Dylan[/name] on a girl makes more sense than [name]Christian[/name], so if it’s [name]Dylan[/name] that you like, why not?
Thanks so much guys. It really helps to hear others opinions. My Fiance really hates girly girl or cute names. My name is [name]Jess[/name] haha so I guess that can be unisex too. The only other name he likes is [name]Rosie[/name] [name]James[/name]! But [name]Rosie[/name] is really common her in Aus. So far its [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] or [name]Rosie[/name] [name]James[/name]. So either all she gets one unisex name. I gather it all comes down to what she looks like when she is born. I love [name]Dylan[/name] spelt [name]Dillon[/name] aswell Grecianern. We have it spelt both ways on our list xx
My daughter has two girl Dylans on her soccer team! I know of another little girl names [name]Dylan[/name] (sister to a girl [name]Jayden[/name]). My daughter also has two girl Ryans in her grade so we seem to live in an area with little regard to name “rules”!
But I do like both names on girls. They have a softer ending, the “lan” being pronounced “lyn” so I like it. I would not personally use it but does not phase me. On the other hand, just walked by a 5 year old girl named [name]Elliott[/name] the other day. [name]Do[/name] not like that one!
i love dylan for a girl it was on my list
but hubby’s a little iffy on giving a boy name to a little girl
i feel tho that a strong masculin name on a little girl is rather faltering
I prefer it spelled [name]Dylan[/name]. When I see the name [name]Dillon[/name] it seems more masculine and reminds me of the word dill.
