Dylan-Girl

I hear this name is quite popular overseas but here in [name]Oz[/name] I have never heard it used as a girls name. What are peoples thoughts on [name]Dylan[/name] for a little girl. We were thinking [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] or [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]. Thanks Ladies and Gents. xx

[name]Dylan[/name] [name]Sofia[/name] would be pretty, though I must admit I’m not a fan of [name]Dylan[/name] as a girl’s name. Pairing it with a feminine middle is the right idea.

I think of [name]Drew[/name] Barrymore’s character from [name]Charlie[/name]'s Angels who was named [name]Dylan[/name].

I prefer [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]. I have never met a female [name]Dylan[/name], but I remember reading that designer [name]Ralph[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] has a daughter named [name]Dylan[/name].

I think it’s awful on a girl - save it for a boy. Pairing it with something feminine does not make it better.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Dylan[/name] for a girl!

Dislike [name]Dylan[/name] for a girl. [name]Dylan[/name] is all boy to me.

[name]Dylan[/name] [name]Baer[/name] is a metriologist (however you spell weather girl haha) on channel 7 news. I quite like it.

I know one boy [name]Dylan[/name] and one girl [name]Dylan[/name], one 6 and one 3. I prefer it as a boy’s name, but if paired with a feminine middle name I think it works for a girl.

I really dislike it as a boys name and wouldnt use it for a boy.We have had our boys name picked forever…so ofcourse we get a girl haha. xx

[name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] is adorable! I think it works as a girl’s name. I wouldn’t mind seeing a little girl [name]Dylan[/name] walking around

adore [name]Dylan[/name] for a girl! [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] is cute

[name]Dylan[/name] used to be one of my favorite boy names! And then of course my mom went and used it on our dog so it is now not an option for me haha. (But I got over it because it fits him very nicely, Australian shepherd with big blue eyes so “son of the sea” he became).
I think it could definitely be a girls’ choice as well. On last season of The [name]Secret[/name] Life of the American Teenager they had a girl named [name]Dylan[/name]. If you are questioning it, my suggestion would be to possibly use [name]Delaney[/name] nn [name]Dylan[/name]? Good luck! =]

I don’t like [name]Dylan[/name] for a boy, and especially not for a girl. :frowning: I do love [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] a lot though. Either sound fine with [name]Dylan[/name] if that is what you love.

[name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] feels very fun & spunky. It’s not my favorite on either gender, but it doesn’t feel ‘all boy’ to me. I know a girl [name]Dylan[/name] who is adorable.

I know a girl [name]Dilan[/name], which is actually a popular female Turkish name when spelt like that, so it’s not completely out there to use [name]Dylan[/name] on a girl. Personally I’m not a fan of the name much on either gender, but if you use it then a feminine middle is definitely the way to go.

I think it’s an adorable boy’s name, just not great on a girl at all.

It’s not like it’s an underused or uncommon boy’s name that could come into style as a girl’s name. This is just a boy’s name on a girl, which is a massive trend right now that will fade out and leave your daugther with a dated name [name]IMO[/name].

I knew 2 girls in high school named [name]Dylan[/name], so it’s been used on girls before. They were probably born in the mid 80’s . I like it on either gender, it’s a little too common for my taste but it definitely has a cool sound and meaning.

Sorry I think of it only as a boys name

I love the name [name]Dylan[/name] for a Girl!!! But on our list, it’s also spelled [name]Dillon[/name], because we don’t know which we like better.

It’s not on the top of my DH’s list, but he doesn’t hate it.

Go with it. It’s a name that has been heard on a girl before, even in the movies… so it works.

It ends in a “lyn” sound. The sounds are very feminine to me. Great name. I like “[name]Dylan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]” beautiful!
