Hello
(this was originally posted in writers corner but i have no replies so i thought id repost it here)
I realise the title sounds a little strange! I’m writing a story with 2 fairy sisters living in a dystopian fairy kingdom. One is very sick and weak and the other is a petty thief, stealing to provide for her sister. Poorer fairies like them are hidden away and are banned from doing normal things because they “tarnish” the perfect image of the fairy kingdom. So I need names that reflect their strength through hardship but still sound like they could belong to fairies!
I was struggling to find names that suited the girls but I thought you guys would find something good!
Thank you

I think any variation of -run would work well due to the ‘secret’ meaning (Adelrun or Runa) or [name_f]Leto[/name_f], meaning ‘hidden; forgotten’.
Also, names that mean or refer to the ‘lotus’ due to the beautiful symbolism of determination and perseverance despite adversity I think would be perfect – Nucifera, [name_u]Ren[/name_u] or [name_f]Kamala[/name_f], for example.
Otherwise, I find ‘fun-made-up-smoosh’ type names can work well for fantasy characters just made up of words or other quirky names – just going off the above ideas, something like Lotesni or Secroia.

Wow I do love Everyn… thank you!
I love how [name_f]Ilma[/name_f] means “starlight” in Quenya. Could definitely work as a fairy name!
