Looking for some dystopian female names. Suggestions?

Could you give us an example of what you’re looking for?
I read some books of Dystopian worlds, and they had names like [name_f]Cassia[/name_f], [name_u]America[/name_u], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Tris[/name_u]), [name_f]Honor[/name_f], I can’t remember the rest. But they all had pretty normal names!

There’s no real category of “dystopian” female names - that’s a genre of literature. But these ones can sound futuristic, I guess…

I’m a little confused by your question. Names go in and out of style, so people will probably still be using some current names in 100 years. I assume you mean futuristic names (or names that aren’t currently being used a lot)

Eh, what? Dystopia is just some form of malicious and usually fictional society. There’s literally no way that you could classify a group of names as ‘dystopian’.

I agree, @oliviasarah. There are no ‘dystopian names.’ There are names that are seen as unusual, futuristic, etc, but dystopian names are not really a classification of names. And lots of books that are dystopian themed have normal names in it. For example, Divergent by [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] is a very futuristic type of book, and includes names like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Molly[/name_f], and [name_m]Eric[/name_m]. There really are no dystopian names.

Ummm, [name_u]Cedar[/name_u], [name_u]Haven[/name_u], Arrora, Chancery, [name_f]Flair[/name_f], [name_f]Mercy[/name_f]… These are all names from a dystopian story I’m writing and they’re working well. I like them a lot!

What kind of dystopia are we talking about? Pandemic? Post-apocalyptic? Political? Totalitarian? Environmental? Zombies? Intergalactic?

[name_m]How[/name_m] far away chronologically are we from the current year? 5 years? 10 years? 50? 100? 1,000?

What kind of character is she? Any ethnic background or are you assuming that the dystopian future will be all white (maybe that’s why it’s dystopian!)? Character traits? Appearance? Age? What does she do? What’s she fighting for/against and why?

I don’t really know what to name.
