I am planning a novel all about mutations and overpowering government. Here’s the plot:
The year is 2073. A major nuclear war has devastated the world. Alliances have been shattered, countries have turned on one another in their panic, half have been destroyed, abandoned, turned into deadly wastelands. More than half of Australia’s population has been wiped out. The surivors? Left mutated-or if they were lucky, still ordinary-to wander the wastelands and skeletal cities, barely surviving on their own knowledge and skills. But only two years later, a new government arose from Australia’s ashes and created a new community for the survivors. They named it Salutem, the Latin word for ‘salvation’. The survivors made their way to Salutem, or were gathered from all over Australia. The remaining people thrived in Salutem, but the government took advantage of the survivors’ vulnerability. Rules and regulations became far more strict. The Australians were opressed by them. But what could they do? The rest of the country was a wasteland, a dangerous place. Salutem was their only safety.
Now, the survivors left with mutated sex cells gave birth to mutated offspring. They were born with deformed bodies-in fact, most died off. But some were born with physical or mental advancements. The doctors of Salutem worked hard to free the people of their mutations, but they weren’t successful.
Those with advancements soon gave birth to offspring with stronger, more powerful advancements. They could be even considered as ‘powers’. Well, that’s what the government considered the advancements as. They considered them a danger…
All the people in Salutem were alerted and ordered to hand over their children or themselves-anyone who was mutated. The government claimed they were going to medicate them, rid all mutants of their ‘powers’ or deformities. Some willingly went or were sent their by their parents. But when others refused, the government was forced to abduct the remaining mutants.
All mutants were imprisoned, hidden away underground to recieve ‘medication’. But what no one knew was that they were really training them to become super soldiers. The government planned to send their army out to attack the survivors who chose not to enter Salutem. They planned to attack the rebels, the rebels that wanted to free those trapped in Salutem.
So thats the plot no one can claim it or write the story because it’s mine and technically copyrighted. So anyway a 15/16 year old mutant girl who can manipulate fire is abducted from her home and taken to the underground prison and she learns whats going on and tries to escape.
So back to the main topic: I can’t think of or decide on any good dystopian girl and boy names. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME I’LL BE VERY GRATEFUL!!
