I’m looking for classy, handsome, cool, maybe spunky “E” and “R” boys’ names to go with the FN [name]Noah[/name]. Any ideas?
I’d like to keep the initials NER (fn and two mns) since the initials NR would honor my sister and I seem to love “E” names paired with [name]Noah[/name].
[name]Noah[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] [name]River[/name] is my original idea, but I’ve been doubting it lately. WDYT of the combo, and do you have any better ideas?
Thanks!
P.S. I’m also curious… on a totally unrelated note. I came across the boys’ name Joppie in this book I’m reading… I really don’t like it, but it made me think of [name]Joplin[/name], which reminds me of [name]Scott[/name] [name]Joplin[/name], whose music I used to love playing when I took piano lessons… It’d probably only ever be a GP name, but wdyt of [name]Joplin[/name] for a boy?
I like [name]Joplin[/name], but might instinctively think it belonged to a girl because of [name]Janis[/name] [name]Joplin[/name].
I think [name]Noah[/name] [name]Eli[/name] flows a bit better than [name]Noah[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]. [name]Noah[/name] [name]Everett[/name], maybe?
I love [name]River[/name], have you also considered [name]Ryder[/name]?
I like [name]Noah[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] but I don’t love [name]River[/name]. I feel like [name]Noah[/name] and [name]River[/name] don’t really go well together. And as for [name]Joplin[/name], I don’t really like it either. If anything it seems kind of feminine. What about:
@lauran–I do love [name]Everett[/name]. It was a huge contender for a FN, but I just can’t imagine calling my son [name]Everett[/name] all the time, so I nixed it, with hopes of using it as a MN. I really, really like [name]Noah[/name] [name]Everett[/name]. It could be a strong contender.
@littlebrownpony–I do like [name]Noah[/name] [name]Everett[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] a lot. I’m a bit hesitant about one-syllable “R” names with my LN (very “R” heavy, and starts with an “R”!), but I do like it a lot.
@etak_llaw–with [name]Noah[/name], I love [name]Edison[/name], [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Edward[/name], [name]Riley[/name] (this spelling), [name]Rhys[/name], and [name]Rufus[/name] (HUGE GP! I adore this!). I like [name]Ezra[/name] a lot, but not really with [name]Noah[/name]. [name]Noah[/name] [name]Ezra[/name] sounds funny to me. With all the soft vowel sounds and all. I’ve been wanting to get a [name]Narnia[/name] name into a combo on my boys’ list, so [name]Noah[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] might be a great option. I don’t love [name]Edmund[/name] individually, or the character of [name]Edmund[/name] in the [name]Narnia[/name] series. I am a sucker for [name]Ed[/name]- names with [name]Noah[/name], though.
I’ve also been loving [name]Reagan[/name] on a boy lately, but I don’t know if [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Reagan[/name] go together very well…
I also really, really love [name]Noah[/name] [name]Elias[/name], but [name]Caleb[/name] [name]Elias[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] is my favorite boy’s name, and [name]Noah[/name] is in my top five, too. I don’t know about repeating names among such huge favorites. Which is why I probably wouldn’t consider [name]Noah[/name] [name]Eli[/name], since [name]Elias[/name] and [name]Eli[/name] are really close.
I like [name]Noah[/name] Everret, [name]Noah[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] (redeem the name - go for it!), [name]Noah[/name] [name]Elias[/name], [name]Noah[/name] [name]Evan[/name]. I think [name]River[/name] is cool as a 2nd mn - - I’m not sure it has the great need to “flow” (pun! haha) as gracefuly as the first name and first mn. I like the suggested [name]Rhys[/name] also. What about something totally out there like [name]Randolf[/name]? I like [name]Reid[/name] always… but again, I find nothing wrong with your fav, [name]River[/name]. good luck.
