Today I was on Facebook and saw that a friend of mine had a baby and named her [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Its a beautiful name, but their last name also starts with an E.
What do you guys think of the initials E. E. E. , or any initials that are all the same?
The name reminds me of the little girl from the “[name_m]Clifford[/name_m] the Big [name_u]Red[/name_u] Dog” books: [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I am not a fan of E.E.E. However, I think it is much better than an unfortunate spelling created by initials. I know a couple who just named their daughter [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. Their surname name starts with a “C.” H.I.C. won’t look great as a monogram – E.E.E. might look a bit strange, too. But it’s not as bad as, say, H.A.G.
Adorable!! [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is super cute.
I was almost [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], until my grandma objected to that because she didn’t want me to be named after a character in [name_m]Clifford[/name_m] the Big [name_u]Red[/name_u] Dog.
I’m MJM, (Mattie JoHannah M.) and was almost MMM (Mattie Mariejade M.) or MNM (Mattie Noraleigh M.) but they disregarded MMM because my dad changed his mind on Mariejade and MNM because it sound like M&M.
EEE is cute, and u don’t mind triples as long as it’s not KKK or YYY. I hate anitials that spell things. I’ve met an A.S.S, an H.A.G, an A.K.C, and a L.O.V.H, who was LOVE but then got married. I’ve also met an Alyssa Catherine, which is bad because of the Alley Cat references she got in school.
Few names will ever be as redundant as E. E. [name_m]Evans[/name_m]-Pritchard (… which is [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Evans[/name_m]-Pritchard) [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is fine, in my opinion. If it were [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], then not so much, and as long as the surname isn’t [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] or something like that, I think she’ll be all right. I actually really like alliteration, and all the people I know who’ve had alliterative names have been pretty memorable and fun. It’s kind of a “star quality” thing, I think.
Its not my style of name, but the triple initial wouldnt put me off.
My niece is called [name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] M. She got called baby Slam for months!
My dad’s initials are EEE and he absolutely loves it. His friends refer to him as “triple E” on occasion. His names is [name_m]Eric[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m].
Not totally desirable ([name_f]IMO[/name_f]) but if you really love each name then why not, it’s not bad! Much better than SO’s initials of S.B.A.D (I just think super bad haha) or his sister M.A.D, eesh.
I think alliteration can be a little tacky (it depends, of course - this is coming from someone whose last name starts with N and loves the name [name_f]Nola[/name_f]), but I don’t think that it’s THAT bad. I would certainly never make my daughter’s initials E.E.E., but it’s certainly not as bad as it could be.
Were I to marry someone with a surname starting with M, and if I took that person’s name, I’ll be MMM and it won’t bother me. In fact I’d find it rather funny!
