[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are choosing a full first name for our son, who we have been calling “Sonny” and will continue to use that nickname. The middle name will be [name_m]Paul[/name_m], a family name, and the last name is [name_m]Ford[/name_m]. I know both are not traditional and are “made up names” but we love them both! We love last names as first names, and appreciate place inspired names.
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]- we like that it is [name_f]Americana[/name_f] and can fit any age, but worry that it is overused. That being said, we don’t know of any Eastons.
[name_m]Everson[/name_m]- we love that it sounds like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] but is more unique, but think it could be too “out there”.
We have done a lot of thinking on this and will choose one of these two so please do not comment if you don’t like either!
Modern names aren’t my style, but [name_m]Everson[/name_m] is so handsome! I don’t think it’s “out there”, it feels like an [name_u]Everett[/name_u] & [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] crossover. Very usable! I also think the nickname [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] makes more sense with it than [name_u]Easton[/name_u].
[name_u]Easton[/name_u] - would be my first pick. I don’t think that it’s too overused since I’ve never met one personally. I also think that [name_u]Easton[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] flows nicely together. [name_u]Easton[/name_u] is a solid and handsome boy name for me.
[name_m]Everson[/name_m] - isn’t bad but it wouldn’t be my first pick. It does sound a bit made up for me which isn’t that big of a problem since made up an unique names are very common these days.
I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them! Good luck picking a name for your little one <3
I like them both but I prefer [name_m]Everson[/name_m]. It’s really cool and is unique but doesn’t feel too unique since it follows sounds of other popular names.
[name_m]Everson[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m] has a better flow to it imo, and the nn [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] is much more intuitive with it. I’m also just not a fan of “directional” names like [name_u]Easton[/name_u], [name_u]West[/name_u], [name_m]Weston[/name_m], and [name_u]North[/name_u], so my vote 100% goes to [name_m]Everson[/name_m]. It sounds like a mash up of [name_u]Evan[/name_u] and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], so I don’t think it’s too out there and I think it’ll stand well next to those more established names while still coming across as more unique. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] has also gotten some ground these last few years, so if he ever wants to switch up his nn he has [name_u]Ever[/name_u] to fall back on! [name_m]Everson[/name_m] is a solid choice!
I like both but leaning towards [name_m]Everson[/name_m] for all the reasons mentioned above - it’d a handsome, leader man name to me, [name_u]Easton[/name_u] feels a bit more hip or tough guy. But these are marginal. Both fab!
[name_u]Easton[/name_u] reminds me of the brand of baseball bats. I guess if he plays baseball he might find it cool Not a bad thing but I prefer [name_m]Everson[/name_m]. It is unique but doesn’t feel out there. Reminds me of [name_u]Everest[/name_u] and outdoorsy stuff.
[name_m]Everson[/name_m] is the nicer name of the two in my opinion. [name_u]Easton[/name_u] is too overdone. [name_m]Everson[/name_m] is fresh and outdoorsy feeling. [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] is cute and so are Ev/Ever. [name_m]Everson[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m] is very handsome.
both of them are great! I think I slightly prefer [name_m]Everson[/name_m], I like that it has “ever” in it and the -son ending is a great way to get to sonny
i absolutely love everson. it’s fresh and cool, gentlemanly, and just wild enough. everson paul ford also has the most lovely flow, and “sonny” makes a darling nickname.
I really like Everson! Even though it is a “made up” name, it still sounds really nice and kind of classy! I think it would also tie in really well with the baby’s nickname of Sonny
I haven’t thought of Easton as popular or trendy, so I wouldn’t let that sway you. I’ve met one in my life, and he is in his late 20’s.
Thinking more about Everson, it’s kind of like a combo of Emerson and Everett or Evander. I think the V in Everson is nice. V’s are well-loved right now in names, but Everson is fresh and uncommon, so it fits in but is still unique! I think it’s great!
[name_m]Everson[/name_m] is my favourite, I think it lends itself to the nickname [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] a bit easier than [name_u]Easton[/name_u] does.
